I agree completely with you. I think Ozzie got injured right before the end of the second period. There was a scrum right in front of the net and he grabbed the puck, put his head down, and just stayed on his knees. NBC went to a commercial and didn't review it when they came back from break. I hope I'm wrong, but it sure seemed like he got hurt. Then, coincidentally, he got pulled for Conklin.

Sounds about right, plus as others have pointed out he had a word with the trainer at the end of the 2nd period.

I'll ask again, was osgood injured or they just gave conklin some icetime when they had a nice lead?

I think it's the latter part of your question, Mindy... possibly combined with the fact that teams coached by Quenneville turn into mindless goons when they are losing in such an embarrassing fashion.

Why risk letting them run Ozzie and really hurt him, when we're up by five goals, right?

LOL!!!

look at the three stars of the game. Barker for third star?? Talk about NHL throwing the Horks a bone.

Kronner had two assists, gee... wonder why he wasn't third star? LOL~

Yep, now that is the definition of a farce. Either that or the Hawks' performance today.

Kronwall was SUEPRB and should’ve got the 3rd star.

No indication of an injury. Smart coaching by Babs if that's the case. No need to get Ozzie hurt when it's clear the Hawks are gonna goon it up 100% in the third, and it's smart to get Conklin some time to keep him sharp.

lmao at all the people here talking about Babs on the mic.

Just use AIM.

Ignore it if you don't like it. Don't *****.

Babs says Ozzie was dehydrated and was on IVs, if I understood him right.

All speculation right now. Apparently Oz talked to the trainer coming off the ice after the 2nd.

Could be that Babs took Oz out for:

a ) Precautionary reasons

b ) Because he might not get a better chance, this Post Season, to get Conklin in there for qualifying purposes.

At least.....

I HOPE that's all it is.

<knock on wood>

Hossa with the obligatory two-goal Game 4. :D

Also, sigh at crybaby ***** Hawks. Waaaah! We can't mount a comeback against a real team! Why don't you go watch some tape of the Flames and Nucks series and relive your only moments of playoff glory you sore losers. Men versus boys, seriously.

Finally, double lulz to Brian Campbell being on the ice for the first four goals-- including being hte VERY LAST PLAYER BACK on Hossa's shorty. Seriously, how did he end up so far away from the puck?

AND to Mike Emrick for being hilariously non-neutral half way through the game, saying "It's a shame this [united Center] crowd won't get to see another home game," all but throwing Game 5 to the Wings. :D
