lol, the ironic thing is people whining about Crosby's whining. He hasn't whined in 2 or 3 years, but wings fans are certainly whiners. Someone else posted that the hockey gods were on the wings side tonight, and they were damned right. Tell the Zamboni driver to add a little more padding to those boards. I hope you wing fans realize that you are playing a much better team than last year, the wings will need bounces like they got tonight to win this time. Congrats on game one, game 2 is in 20 hours.

Yea, as dominant as Cindy and Malkin were tonite looks like the Wings will need a whole lot of luck to have a chance. And, if Crosby has whined in two years why was he voted "king whiner" by the rest of the players in the league? Quit making excuses.

do you think my security settings are stopping the post game from showing up? I have a black screen, and nothing ever shows up...

I would try updating your flash. That was the issue I was having when I could see the Center Ice feeds.

Is this necessary?

My observations tonight:

Early on I was a bit upset at the officiating since it was let them play, followed by two bak to back powerplays, but overall it evened out throughout the game. I'm glad it quickly went back to let them play.

Faceoffs won this game

Imagine how good we will be with Datsyuk back

Ozzie let up way too many rebounds, other then that he was great

Only thing I was mad at Crosby for was the slash after the game since it was classless and trashy

Great game, will be a great series.

That was one tight game, I'll tell you that... No speed through the neutral zone, very tight checking. Hank did a masterful job shadowing Crosby. Ozzie obviously should have been more aware of the rebound on the Malkin shot, but the stop on the breakaway (and uncalled trip...) was utterly massive. Huge game from Ozzie today. Huge game from Helm. Huge game from the 4th line and from the backboards (again! :P).

thanks, E. I did that. Still nothing. Is it on?

Are the press conferences on? Yeah, Babs just left. Waiting for some more people. Maybe you should restart your browser? Check your security settings and make sure they allow Flash. If none of that works, I don't know what to say. I'm sorry. :(

Oh joy, we're going to hear from Sid tonight!!!!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

He hasn't whined in 2 or 3 years? What about when he was asking for them to make an announcement @ the Verizon Center for people to stop throwing hats after Ovie's bunny? Come on, lie to us, but don't lie to yourself.

Nice little hack on Malts at the end of the game by Cindy, too. The Pens are a much better team than last year? The Wings are the defending champs and added Hossa, a more prevalent Helm, and Ericsson. What does that make us?

Don't worry, this will be a short one.

You will certainly need them.

Stop crying already.

We owned your team last year and will do it again this year. You don't have the kind of strategy needed to beat the Wings. What works against Washington and Carolina won't work against the Wings.

And as far as us needing the boards. You need the refs.

So...

1. We swing Octopi and it gets on the ice and somehow causes possible hazard for injury, so now you're going to be fined 10,000 if you do it...

2. We cheat on faceoffs.

3. We interfere constantly.

4. Our boards are too lively.

I give up...

 100% agree!

If it's not one thing it's another, I guess it's just not possible the the Wings just won?

Listening to Bylsma is light years better than listening to Therrien.

I was just thinking this. For a rookie coach, to give respect to the Wings when it's due...honorable.

I haven't heard any retarded excuses yet...nice change of pace...lol.

Ultimately, for me -- Detroit just beat the Pens 3-1 missing their Hart and Selke candidate.

Which shows the depth of our bench, honestly. I mean, the idea that we beat the Hawks without Nick, Pavs, Ericsson, Drapes.....it shows that we are more than two or three players.
