XxGoWingsxX 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 They are not done, these last two minutes Red Wings better keep their heads up. Mark my words. Yeah and the game is over...once again your words make no ******* sense
titanium2 867 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 You can laugh all you want at the management but keep watching the scoreboard. I think thats slightly more important than proving your manhood by hitting someone. You should've put "proving your manhood" in quotation marks. More like revealing my insecurity because Daddy used to beat me.
Guest Four Report post Posted September 27, 2009 This was witty, congratulations Doc, you made me grin towards a smile. E_S_A_D approved. So when should we start caring about how you are grinning or your post approval? Just so I know how long to ignore you for until you'll post something relevant and worth caring for. PierreC 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Howard is the man !! We all knew that from the start did we ? of course we did. Seriously isnt that a refreshing performance by Howard. i hope they let him play the next exhibition game to solidify that newly acquired confidence.

Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 woo hoo I'm sooo glad we got the 2 points outta this game... oh wait... well at least we walked outta this one with some pride and dignity in our hockey team... oh wait... at least the Joe was rocking... ehh.. I guess it could have been worse, there could have been "GO LEAFS GO" chants like there was the other night...haha Well I think convincingly beating a team in depth after losing five straight games is a win in my books. Wait, there wasn't a fight was there? Nevermind. Scrap the season. What a failure.

Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Don't know what all this hemming and hawing is about, seemed like a well played game to me. I'm not compelled to go rifling through all the boxscores but I think Leino has got 2-3-5 in five games this preseason. Willy has also had a very good preseason, and Datsyuk and Rafalski have been playing well. Started slow (typical Wings) but finished in control of the game. See you folks in far away Sweden for the start of the regular season.

I still have no faith in hi, partly because I didn't see any saves this game. I was back and forth watching it and it was choppy as hell, the only good thing I saw was Williams SICK deke. Thats pure old time hockey. And Franzen is the definition of a classy player who always backs up his actions. This team and its half empty arena full of silent fans and a clearly bored out of there skulls Ken and Micky gets a from me. GO WINGS.

P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 I know our league is different than in Finland, but if you research fighting in the NHL and its history you might understand better. I know about hockey's history in NA. What I mean is that to me hockey is about winning and teams win by scoring more goals than the opponent. Anything besides scoring goals can be questioned. That's why I asked why this "bell" needs to be answered. There are so many different versions of the unwritten rules of hockey that one shouldn't care about them very much. gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Good to see Howard playing pretty descent to round out the preseason. He needs all the confidence he can get. He needs to get on a roll to start things out proportional to his backup status. He's screwed if he can't find a way to be positive about where his career with the Wings is going. Yeah, a great game by him. He's never had any proper chance to play many games in a row in the NHL. Who knows if he'll turn out to be a fine netminder. Guest mindfly Report post Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) Weird, I didn't know geographic coordinates has anything to do with who you're a fan of. (to uk_wing) philadelphia, anaheim, toronto are teams with more tough guys and fighters and should therefore be a better team for you to support.. there would be less whining and you would enjoy the games more obviously cause you like the fights so its weird you support the red wings tbh. I take it you're from michigan so perhaps you dont have much choice than support the wings Edited September 27, 2009 by mindfly

(to uk_wing) I take it you're from michigan so perhaps you dont have much choice than support the wings Your wrong here. These fans are usually older and grew up lovning Probert, Kocur, Shanny, McCarty. Before the lockout for years the Wings were a tough team. The last years with the exception of 08, we havnt been so much, thus the arguments from the toughness boys for making the team have more backbone. Criticizing the team doesnt mean, goo fricking cheer for someone else, they'd just rather see what the older teams had. I dont disagree with them, but I liked the game tonight so I cant complain

They wouldn't get that here. Most of these fans are newbies, you can tell. Not all, there's some good ones. Oh, btw, your chance to send me into retirement for good board- here's a poll .
