Pretty funny article, especially what the guy said about the Canucks and their fans on page two. :D

I'd have put the Leafs fans on the list, however, ahead of the Canadiens and Canucks.

I hope I got the link to work now. If not, try copy and paste.

For me...

1. New York Yankees

2. Ohio State Buckeyes (football especially)

3. Chicago Blackhawks

Yeah, the Yankees should have been on the list. Their fans have a great way around admitting that their success is largely based on their insane salary.

Don't have much experience with OSU fans, so I can't speak there.

Whoever wrote the article seems to have something personal against the Canucks. Some of that stuff sounded pretty harsh.

Funny how he called the Sedin twins homoerotic. The thought never crossed my mind. :hehe:

The writer is a Flames fan.

Yeah, because incest was the first thing a normal person would have been worried about in that situation. Good to know this author is more worried about sleeping with a person of the same sex rather than someone they're related to.

This seems like a rather strange and arbitrary list. I mean, it lists very specific teams most of the time and then All English Soccer Fans? Bizarre.

Amazing that the Yankees aren't even on the list.

I can definately attest to Canucks fans though. Whenever I've seen the Wings play there and lose they act like they just won the freaking Cup. Plus they've singlehandedly built Luongo up to be the most overrated goalie in the league

Living here in Redneckville, TN I would say the Preds fans are up there on the list. They have these stupid chants that make no sense what so ever!! These people must meet a Tootsie's (local bar in Nashville) to make up these chants before everygame.

"Chelios is a sissy" is one of their chants, but just watch a game and listen!! There the same chants that your local high school uses during a pep rally!

I would agree that Leafs fans are bad! When the Leafs come to Detroit, the Leafs fans walk around the Joe like they own the place. However the best fights in the stands happen during Wings/Leafs games!!

funny that you say that about the Preds fans

Watch the whole thing through, trust me. I lost it.

On the topic, the fans that piss me off the most are Michigan State football fans, mainly because all of my friends are fans of that team and they act like complete douchebags over them, so I get the sense that everyone else behaves the same way since they travel to the campus regularly. This past weekend was horrible for me, being a huge Wolverine fan. I don't remember the last time I blew up on my friends, while driving on our way back home...

State does have a ton of hot girls though.

this all depends on what you think is Annoying. not only do i think the fan that screams the whole game and never sits down Annoying ....i think the fan that never gets out of his seat adn never claps or anything is just as Annoying....*coughredwingfanscough* alot of fans at the joe are like that.

I second that notion. I pretty much can't stand anyone from Cleveland, regardless of sports team affiliation, but that's just me.

Toledo -- pretty much no room to talk junk about anywhere else :P

Just kidding, I totally get where you're coming from, people here are pretty annoying in general, and in sports specifically. LOTS of Steelers/OSU/Cavs fans, because when you live here, you're allowed to claim anyone within a three-hour drive as local if the local team sucks. The city is one massive inferiority complex, and that extends outside of sports as well.

If we're being perfectly honest, most people not on a Wings board would put Wings fans on their list. Canucks fans never struck me as particularly annoying, although I don't deal with them much obviously. Although that was hilarious.

I can't argue against any of these really. I'm all for #1. Let's blame everyone else except the team. The Steve Bartman one really gets me. I actually had a conversation with someone who said if Bartman wasn't there no one else would have touched the ball. You mean other than the 3-4 other guys who were going for it at the same time he was? Yeah you're right. The article said it best, how about the pitching staff?
