dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 You are right except we are not scoring any goals either really... I mean two yesterday? Homer needs to be on the first or second line to be effective... Why not change it again... Z and Cleary work good together, and Dats and FLip do as well... Leino has good chemistry with Flip, but with Hank it could be just as good, why not try it... If anything, Leino should play with Datsyuk. Pav keeps setting guys up and no one can finish it off, but Leino has a good scoring touch. Datsyuk and Fil together would lead to a million passes but no shots. Filppula and Hank together could be really good though. Give Hank a chance to really be the goalscorer on the line. For now I think it's best to keep the Twins together though. They're going to score goals, it's just a matter of time.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: How do you know I wasn't being serious? Oh s***. I forgot about Bertuzzi. I guess he could replace Cleary on my 4th line. Who wouldn't want to see Bertuzzi playing with Holmstrom on the same line?

Who wouldn't want to see Bertuzzi playing with Holmstrom on the same line? I've read enough of your posts to know that you have a generally good hockey knowledge (a little over the top with the enforcer stuff at times, but all and all generally knowledgeable) to KNOW you were joking

Hank is usually a good finisher... I don't know, they will find something eventually that clicks consistently.. its only been 5 games so we will see... Pavel Hossyukstrom 2 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) Abby is one of the five Wing's that isn't a negative in +/-. He has been fine. Z-D-Bert/Cleary Leino-Flip-Cleary/Bert Abby-Helm-May/Homer Homer/May-Draper-Maltby/Eaves But we need scoring that's the side I'm talking about. Also Draper and Maltby aren't neg either. Also where's Williams????? Edited October 15, 2009 by Pavel Hossyukstrom
Carman 387 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 But we need scoring that's the side I'm talking about. Also Draper and Maltby aren't neg either. Also where's Williams????? My bad put one too many Mays in there, he would be 3rd line. And Abby has the potential to score many more points then the rest of the bottom 3. We can't keep sending young players to the minors, not when we have big injuries and the salary cap catching up, we need them to start growing up quick. HadThomasVokounOnFortSt 878 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 It's a long season so I am not worrying THAT much, but I can say this, something needs to be changed. I only watched 2 games this season but it seems like no one cares to be out there. I watched a little bit of the Sabers and it looked to be like once we got down no one cared. No one stepped up and said were still in this. We need our big guys to step up and put the puck in the net, where not scoring enough goals. With our defense like how it is right now we need goals! The Secret 304 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Get the team to play with heart, the problem is you can't just turn heart on and off. We are still probably the most talented team in the league, but as exposed in the finals, talent and heart will trumph over just talent. I agree with everything you've said. I still think we could have won game 7 of the SCF and had our back to back Championships but the heart was not there, nor was the Cup.

Guest gofish Report post Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) simplify. do the little things right. win those batles in the corners, be the first man in on the dump in. Its obvious detroit is forcing play through the neutral zone (obvious turnovers) and then getting beat back with a 2 on 1 or 3 on 2.
