Since i know there are those that are frothing at the mouth to do so, I am going to apologize in advance for the hawk fan trolls that no doubt will arrive before during and after the game. Don't think that behavior reflects upon all of us.

What's up, everybody?!

It's been a while since I've been around here. :D

Uninspired effort, Osgood didn't help matters because if he doesn't s*** the bed its a 1 goal game and maybe we try harder in the 4rd.

Im more angry about the loss to Dallas last night, we outplayed them, should have won but two lucky bounces for them cost us the points.

GO WINGS!

List. Less. Everyone on the Wings not named Abdelkader played like it was a meaningless December game.

I expected the Hawks to be the better team in their rink playing a depleted Wings team, and that the Wings would have to scrap to win. But there was zero effort from the Wings and two absolute back breakers by Ozzie at the end of the 2nd.

Chicago had good defencive coverage, but the Wings were passing up shot after shot after shot. Uh, Wings, it's friggin' Huet in goal, not Luongo. But good on Chicago tonight. They deserved this one for sure.

a holding penalty? loool

No kidding. How does our player get a BS penalty and the star, "Taves", gets away with an all-out roughing?

2 Minutes for clean-hitting a star player and then getting face-washed by another star player.

GO TO THE BOX!

I'd also like to point out I'm upset that there was no goonery involved towards the end of the third.

I like watching guys like May for their ******* s*** up, and when your team gets shallacked by arguably their biggest rival I expect an elbow or two.

Come on, Brad.

May wants to play, and Babcock unfortunately doesnt condone that stuff. Like I said, the Wings dont know the proper way to lose, you dont roll over, you elbow the ******* in the teeth and slash there goalie, and hit them after they throw the puck away. We just... skate around until the final buzzer hits.

Wasn't expecting a Win coming out of a back to back road game with 6 out of our top 8 players injured.

That said not many players had a good game, Abby was really the only spot I could say that looked decent.

Osgood is brutal, deserves another chance and hopefully it was just rust but he was brutal.

I'm sure Babock wouldn't mind May be a little more tenacious when it comes to his elbows and such.

All that needs to be done is some s*** so the Wings have something to remember for next game. Keeps the blood boiling till Wednseday. Doesn't have to be a two hander to the face.

That was a 60 minute long joke and we were the punchline. Some of you can make yourselves feel better by saying Chicago played an AHL team but after the effort I saw tonight I'd say most other actual AHL teams could've done better. Both teams looked bad tonight though, boring game to say the least.

I can't get too down on the team for the lack of energy. They played their asses off in Dallas and deserved a win but the whistles went awry and the bounces weren't friendly. You play a game like that expecting to get a good result but they didn't and there wasn't much left in the tank for tonight.

As depleted as the Wings are, the Hawks aren't "over" Detroit yet. They're going to get as fired up for this game as a meaningful one because they're not sure they can beat this team even on a night like this. The Wings had a lot going against them tonight.

It's that Dallas loss that really has me sour. That really sucked.

It's so funny.....one win against a team that destroyed you in the WC last year as well as beat you once already this year AND has 9 players out......yet you're celebrating like you actually accomplished something. Must set your heights pretty low, which isnt too uncommon for a blackhawks fan.

Actually, I'm not just happy over just this one game. I am definitely looking at the bigger picture. This has beena great season overall and one of the best starts I've see as a 'Hawks fan. I think the future is looking pretty bright on the westside of Chicago. :D

Doc, you know I'm more then with you on this. I only kept watching because there was a chance, but no such luck.

At least Bertuzzi is showing he's got it. He played great tonight, throwing the body, scaring the piss out of any idiots on Chicago and had a couple chances too.

The Hawks proved that they're better than Grand Rapids.

Congratulations.

Yeah, I'm far more sour about the Dallas loss that this one. We should have won that game without question.

Well, congratz on your good start, but reality is gonna hit you and your team like a ton of bricks next season when the salary cap forces you to get rid of core players. Good luck with that.

The Wings should play Meech and Lebda as the first pairing next game, with May/Newbury/Maltby as the top line. I mean, why the hell not? If we're not going to try and win, at least let the players on the team who don't get time get time, as well as keep our stars off the ice for injury's sake.
