List. Less. Everyone on the Wings not named Abdelkader played like it was a meaningless December game.

I expected the Hawks to be the better team in their rink playing a depleted Wings team, and that the Wings would have to scrap to win. But there was zero effort from the Wings and two absolute back breakers by Ozzie at the end of the 2nd.

Chicago had good defencive coverage, but the Wings were passing up shot after shot after shot. Uh, Wings, it's friggin' Huet in goal, not Luongo. But good on Chicago tonight. They deserved this one for sure.

I believe friggin' Huet now has 6 shutouts on the year.

Game turned out pretty much like it should have. Wings really had no chance to win this game with half their team made up of AHL'ers playing against a talented, full Chicago lineup. Better luck next game.

A full Chicago lineup? They are without their 2nd line center, their 4th line center, their #4 defensemen and Eager. Not to mention they have not played one game this year with a full lineup. They fielded a team tonight with Brent Sopel and Jordan Hendry and one of their D pairings. Thats putrid, but they have played solid D and have been getting the goaltending.

How come no one talks about the fact that the wings were actually playing worse WITH most of the guys who are injured in the lineup, while playing better without?

Wow, Abdelkader completely decimated Kane. :D :D That was a beautiful hit! I bet that hit made that (old man) taxi driver happy!. Did you guys see the Maltby hit just behind the camera? Who did he level? All I saw was a Hawks' player fling across like a rag doll. Hawks got f'ing punished tonight! Lol.

I didn't expect Wings to win without Zetterberg plus another $20-something million roster out of the game going back-2-back, but I'll take the beating the boys put on their top guys! :D

Anyone else see Lidstrom school Toews one-on-one in our defensive zone? That was a play of beauty... and those sick moves Datsyuk put on Seabroke and Keith, they didn't know how to handle the Dangler and got embarrassed on a few plays. Dats is so much freaking fun to watch!

I am disappointed that Bert let up on a hit against Madden (or maybe it was Ladd?), he had him in his sights and could have destroyed him at the blue line, but he let off the gas at the last second. That would have been the hit of the year if Bert had followed through with his size and speed. Maybe even put that player out for the rest of the year. He should have nailed him.

What's up with Toews getting all sour with Abdelkader after his clean hit on 88? He strattled on top of Abby like he wanted to have sex with him.. haha! And we get the penalty? Refs sure wanted to send a message to protect BlackHawks stars... what p*ssies!

After Abby's hit, Kane skated back to the bench and stood at the doorway while Buffugilain (sp) ran his fingers through Kane's hair, it look like he was saying "It'll be okay sweaty, the ref is taking of it right now, he's making that meanie Red Wings' player go to the penalty box now, ok hunny." Hawks are really that big of p*ssies? Dude, this is hockey, it's a contact sport... if you can't take the physical game, then maybe you should find a new career, like maybe nitting with Martha Stewart.

Oh well, Wings used up all their gas against Dallas... the next two days off will be good for the boys. They've played their asses off for the past 3 weeks straight.

Believing doesn't make it true. He has 3. He's got 6 between last year and this...

The Wings should play Meech and Lebda as the first pairing next game, with May/Newbury/Maltby as the top line. I mean, why the hell not? If we're not going to try and win, at least let the players on the team who don't get time get time, as well as keep our stars off the ice for injury's sake.

It seemed like Helm and Abdelkader were out there the whole game. The second PP unit was Helm, Eaves, Leino, Stuart, and Meech. I was staring at the screen thinking there had to be someone better they could throw out there. Then I remembered there wasn't.

That's like saying Detroit was missing Filppula, Draper, Lebda, and May. As opposed to Zetterberg, Franzen, Kronwall, and Cleary.

So now you will compare players who are injured on different teams with each other? As if Bolland adds less to the hawks then Fillpula adds to the wings? Or Barkers 40pts last year compared to Lebdas 16, as well as being 4 years younger?

Get real.

Wow. I wish I could come away from a shutout loss being this positive. And calling another team ******* is a bit ironic since our guys are brittle as hell this year. If somebody hit one of our guys like Kader hit Kane then our guy would be in a coma.

Miller Brew acts as though they won and makes excuses for the loss all in the same post!

I said in another post if Wings lose I want to see Hawks' get physically pounded. We lost and, yet, Wings decimated some Hawky p*ssies, it was a pure thing of beauty! Seeing Kane cry like a little girl made me smile. Sorry that I'm not sorry for being sadistic like that.

I'm sure Vladi, D-mac and Kocur were smiling too. :)

Can't down this team for a loss, bro. They played just yesterday, and, needless to say they played a lot the past couple weeks. Osgood looked rusty, unfortunately but was solid in the third -- too little, too late. Hopefully he starts in the next game.

After next game we have 3 more games (when we have a nearly a full healthy roster) to take these points back. Don't be all bitter about a loss with an AHL roster playing back-2-back... Replay Abby's pwnage on 88. It'll make you smile, I promise :)

Get real.

Filppula = 2nd line Center

Draper = 4th line Center

Lebda = 4th defenseman (plays like it)

May = enforcer

Not having Barker is comparable to Detroit not having Kronwall, which they've had to do for long stretches in seasons past, yet they were fine without him because they were relatively healthy. Bolland and Filppula are good for about 40 to 50 points a year, so they're about even.

Real enough for you?

:blink:

Doc is that you?

GMR, make no mistake I have no problemt with enforcers in the lineup and am always happy to see blue collar grinders punching the snot out of the opposition.

My discussions with you, ESAD, Micah, and UK (among others) directly relate to necessity of the "enforcer" being in the lineup. I am ALWAYS entertained by fights and tough hockey and look to see more of it especially when the team is getting played like they were tonight.

Don't bother. 90% of the guy's posts are in Black Hawk related threads. I would consider his allegiance to the Wings skeptical at best.

Your comparing players who are hurt on the hawks with wings who arent with the exception of Fillppula all the while forgetting how important those players are to the hawks.

Its understandable that the wings lose because they have serious injuries, but for any other team its not. I get it!! Though still ignoring the fact that the wings have actually played better with the injuries, then when they did when they were healthy. The got swept in Europe by the Blues for cryin out loud.

Then the first game after the Blues we played and beat the Blackhawks. Lol :thumbup:

Of course the Hawks were without a 1st, 2nd and 4th line player for that game and the Wings were healthy but as the other poster has shown injuries only matter when they are Wings players injured.

We lost Franzen so no, we weren't completely healthy. And we had no Lilja at that point either. And Helm was out too. Zetterberg was nursing his groin while playing first few games of the season.
