Draperfan 104 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 Brad May should fight Koivu. If we don't want to make the playoffs, we might as well goon it up. I mean, what the f***? Why not? What about your big tough Bertuzzi, how many fights has he had again? How many decent checks?

kolo 10 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 This team is playing with no heart. Hell, compare this to your day at work.. If you messed up this bad you would get fired. The Wings still get paid at the end of the night regardless of the outcome.

skyphoenix 153 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 So let me get this straight, if we lose tonight and Calgary wins then we are one point out of 8th and that means the season is over? I'm confused, isnt there 30 games left. I'm having problems with the math, we are still alive right? Whats our magic number? This place is awesome, we have played like dogs*** all year and we are in 8th, not 13th, not 14pts out of the playoffs, 8th, last time I checked 8 get in right? Am i missing something? People tend to overreact when we are completely outscored and/or blow games constantly.
NorCalGrl 9 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 Minnesota has two goals on two shots this period? That's just awful. Ozzy should be ashamed.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 Suffice to say, Osgood will not be seeing the net for a while after tonight. I feel silly now for rushing home in the snow and bad roads to see a resilient Red Wings team kick the s*** out of Minnesota out of anger for last night. Is it really that hard to understand that people don't want the Wings making the playoffs to depend on them winning the last game while 2 or 3 teams in front of them lose in regulation? Also we don't really want to face San Jose or Chicago in the 1st round. We need to start winning games very, very soon and get up on solid ground.
skyphoenix 153 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 I thought we played better with May in the lineup. Put Leino on the first line with Datsyuk and Zetterberg. How could that possibly make us any worse?

This place is awesome, we have played like dogs*** all year and we are in 8th, not 13th, not 14pts out of the playoffs, 8th, last time I checked 8 get in right? Am i missing something? Exactly what have you seen this ENTIRE SEASON that makes you think this team can put together an extensive winning streak needed to stay in the playoff race easily? I think they'll make playoffs, but this attitude that "there's still plenty of time left in the season" is naive. It's not as easy as winning a few games. This team winning means nothing if the teams ahead of them keep winning. Let's say we go on a 10 game win streak. Well, if the other teams just keep playing the way they have, the Wings still will not have a substantial lead on any of the other teams, and would still be dangerously in the middle of things. So there may be 30 games left, but this team has not shown the ability to win more than what, 3 games in a row?
puckbags 863 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 yeah, probably this: but i'm sure that's no big deal, right? ...right? Oh no, don't get me wrong, its a really big deal but I'm pretty sure just as bad as we've played we could turn it around. Teams go on big runs every year, is there any reason we cant do that? Hey listen i'm all for criticism and this team deserves some but really you have two options, cry like a little girl and jump off the bandwagon or have some constructive criticism and stick with the team like a real fan would do !
