Who will you support at the Olympics?

OK, so this isn't for the Swedes to tell us they'll be supporting Sweden, and the Americans America....

This is if, like me, you come from a country who aren't represented in the Hockey tournament. Alas GB are unlikely to repeat their Gold medal performance from 1924 :ranting:

Me, I'm going for Russia so that Pav can complete his trophy collection, and so that we (hopefully) see their Fab Four strut their stuff.

Sweden, sorry guys, but for the Wings sake you guys need to crash and burn.

Slovakia, as I have alot of friends at work who are from there.(who are making our rec team alot better!!) and Russia as I can't wait to see what their forward lines can do. Also will be looking out for Latvia as one of the players on our local pro side (Maris Ziedens) has played for them at the Olympics before.

Go Team GB! well I can dream a little.

I mostly hope for any country other than those from North America because I can't stand the way hockey is coached here compared to Europe. Stressing systems over skills for kids is ridiculous. I especially am looking forward to seeing Canada lose.

Overall, I like Russia and want to see some Datsyuk magic with guys like Malkin and Kovalchuk

I always root for Finland after Sweden. Then Russia I think, they're usually very entertaining to watch (unlike, say, Sweden).

I am Russian so lol.... but definately want United States to win besides, simply because now I am an American too... :)

Any team other then Canada winning would be great. Even though I want Babcock and Yzerman to be successful, but it would be great to shut Don Cherry up and other Canadian fans like that up.

HAHA. I am a huge fan of Belarus ever since 2002 when they made Salo look like a dummy. I actually felt bad for Salo but I still laugh out loud when ever I see a video of that play. They're own goalie was outstanding in that game.

GO Canada!

Belarus. I love their ultra-defensive anti-hockey.

I'm Canadian, but I don't have any interest in seeing Crosby, Getzlaf, Pronger, Neidermayer, Iginla, Nash, etc. win anything. I don't really have a favorite going into this. I'd be happy seeing the Red Wings players doing well. If Sweden, Russia, USA, or Finland medal, I'm satisfied.

I'm an American rooting for, in order:

* Russia: Datsyuk is probably my favorite active player (sorry, Lids), and this team is built for exciting hockey...Plus my wife is Russian, heh.

* Canada: Steve Yzerman. I actually dislike many of the players on this team, but you can't deny their talent. Oh, and I kinda like their coach too.

* USA: My home country, although if they win it will be on the strength of their goaltending (read: not the most exciting hockey to watch, IMO). I'm rather ambivalent about most of the players, aside from Miller.

* Sweden: Red Wings.

EDIT: Of course, I'll be pulling for Team USA in any game I watch. But this is more because it's what I think I SHOULD do than what the hockey fan in me wants to see happen.

American-Russian cheering for Russia! Really would want to see Canada - Russia final where Ovie takes the game over how he did in recent CAPS-PENS game!

I actually would be cheering for team USA, but Burke-Wilson combination.

With all honesty if US was coach by Bylsma - I think they would've had a better chance!
