Hopefully this prompts the Russians to concentrate more on defense in the future.

Tretiak needs to put his foot down and change that hockey program. Their players play defense like you see in video game hockey.

After finishing no lower than 4th place in the last 4 olympics, I would say that their program has been pretty darn competitive.

Wow, this is less exciting than I thought it would be. That goal by Morrow, in my opinion, will be the one that seals the deal. Huge blow to the Russians. If it stays this way Canada will put up more goals against Russia then all of their other opponents.

This actually could be a blow-out. :o

Don't blame Nabby, Canada's offense looks like a perpetual power play out there. Where's the Russian defense at?

This is it.

Against teams like the Czechs and Slovaks, Russia has no problem, because those teams don't crash the net. Against a team that tries to attack like Canada, Russia has no heart.

That's not good enough when you have that much talent.

I know that they aren't happy with their finishes in recent memory. Also, they haven't won a Gold in those last 4 Olympics, while the other top nations have.

That's my guess. I didn't even know anyone had been banninated.

He might have withdrew himself after the loss to the US, maybe thought he would get a lot of ridicule for his badass act. Well, it's understandable because he would have. Now watch, suddenly out of nowhere The Mule will come back and make an "I told you so!" post.

True story. If Russia put in a lot of KHL players to prove that their league can compete with the NHL, its not working.

Which is the only reason I want Canada to win. I heard the KHL players were talking s*** about their league being better...4-1 says otherwise.

This is more like it. Typical Russian breakdown. They need a goal and some confidence soon. If they do, this'll be tight. Otherwise, Canada will continue to walk right over them. Larionov on Swedish television. He thinks they should change Nabokov. He also thinks they need more than one line.

There's still time for Russia to mount a comeback. I hope. Stranger things have happened.

Babcock has witnessed his team giving up three goals leads this year. Do things change that quickly? I guess we'll find out.

Yeah cuz that's what you're going to boil that score down to: KHL<NHL? That's beyond stupid.
