Amusing that so many Americans chose to cheer for Russia over Canada.

I hate the majority of players on Team Canada. I love Steve, I think Babs is awesome....but their team? Ick. No thank you. I hate these people on their regular NHL teams, so I'm going to hate them more when they're all on one big super team of ******.

I'd like Sweden to take the gold and barring them, the USA of course.

That's not good enough when you have that much talent.

I know that they aren't happy with their finishes in recent memory. Also, they haven't won a Gold in those last 4 Olympics, while the other top nations have.

I think the USA has underachieved more than the Russians have in recent olympics. One silver medal in 4 olympic years is disgusting.

I think the problem here is less about Russia underachieving and more about Canada's chemistry hitting full stride.

Not really, if you've seen the other GDT for Team Canada games this year. A lot of us, while liking Canada overall (I love it), hates your team of douchbags divers and crysby a whole lot.

Also, the one of the best players for Canada the whole tournament has been Toews. Canadas 4th line is owning Russia's 1st line.

Actually, even as a Canadian, im not a huge fan of our current lineup.

I miss the character guys we had in prior Olympics, the days when we had Yzerman, Sakic, Iginla, Lemuix, Shanahan, Gretzky all on the same team... DAMN.

Now, so many of these players ( Crosby, Heatley ) are just so unlikable. At least Phaneuf didn't make the team! This is probably the douchiest team Canada line up in recent memory. Oh, and personally I think Babs has been pretty terrible, but that is in a different post if you want to discuss that.

That said, they are Canadian, I am Canadian, and 4-1!

Yeah, a two week tournament really should dictate who you think is the better player.

Don't mind that the Russians have no defense, are littered with KHL has-beens, have a goaltender that is compeltely screwing the pooch, and that Canada up and down is a better hockey club.

It's been building for a while. I always thought OV was kind of smug and reckless, only good. But he's been outplayed in big games. I've also seen more good from Crosby then before, and significantly here on the biggest stage, with all that pressure, in Canada etc. The KHL players have been very good btw. They should have had more than 20 secs on that PP.
