Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Awesome! I love Darren and the few times I was able to watch games and he was doing color or some kind of commentary, I thought he was hilarious. So I hope he can bring his sense of humor to whatever shows he'll be doing -- I'm sure they'll be a hit.

SweWings 45 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Not surprised by this, a blossoming entertainer with proper hockey creds and with a great sense of humour. Gonna be good next season.
Johnny Diamonds 25 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 DMac has been on the airwaves a few times over the years and he does a good job. It's always nice getting an inside perspective from former pro athletes as opposed to only getting the fratboy opinion columnist perspective that is constantly rammed down our throats. 3 Zion, Original-Six and Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
Stu in Israel 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Wonderful for a guy who has put his life back together. He deserved it, he earned it, and I wish him and am sure he will be a great success.

Rebound 22 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Better there than on VS. Good for him. A great Detroiter. Are you saying he has a face for radio? LOL! Actually, I agree. Watching him on Vs. was a little painful, but listening to him on the radio will be good.

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 He did a great job filling in as color commentator a while back, that could be an every now and then gig for him as well.

achildr1 255 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 He has been great the times he's filled in on the morning show before. I wanted this to happen right after hearing him on 97.1 before. I hope he replaces Stoney on the Morning Show. As a side note, I hope he keeps doing Versus games as well. He brings real color and humor to that panel. CenterIce 83 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) You can listen on line. www.971theticket.com I think it has to do with the fact that he is in Canada. Edited July 22, 2010 by CenterIce
vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 I think it has to do with the fact that he is in Canada. I gathered that from the "CBS" - I'm confused. Why can't he listen online if he's in Canada? There are ways to change your IP if that's the issue, right?

Im pretty sure using a US proxy would fix the problem. Also, I dont listen to the ticket often. Mostly when im stranded in my truck and cant watch Wings games. If I hear DMac on there im sure I will listen to what he has to say for a little while.
