If they're officially retired by the team since 1939 (for Aurie) they might as well just toss up a banner, or allow new players to use it. This is what should be done, hang somewhere in the Joe and even the next arena (Delta Centre) a couple of jersey banners recognizing numbers out of circulation. #6, #16 and hopefully #24. They don't have to be retired, but maybe somewhere in the concourse have giant photos of the players and have their jerseys hanging next to them and OFFICIALLY take them out of circulation.... I know offense will be great but we still don't have anything solid for last d pairing and coupled with the fact our goal tending is soft, I don't see progress.
