Good to see the "Buffaslug" is no more, and they're back to the traditional "Buffalo & Crossed Sabers" logo for the primary jerseys. Here are some design facts about the new 40th anniversary jersey.- The royal blue color of the third jersey reflects the original Sabres jersey that debuted in 1970. - The “Buffalo” script wordmark was inspired by the old Buffalo Bisons “bottlecap” logo. - The choice of an off-white color for the Buffalo script was to give the jersey a vintage feel. - There are four stripes on the sleeves, socks and around the waist that represent 40 years of Sabres hockey. - A commemorative 40th anniversary “1970” logo sits below the Buffalo script. - The faux felt numbers have a unique cross stitched pattern in reference to early pro hockey jerseys Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

What stupidity. Damn jersey sales. That's all they care about, no matter how crappy it looks. And of course, morons will go out and buy these jerseys, to perpetuate more of these jersey changes for the future. And once again, there's this obsession with stripes. Can we get rid of these retarded jersey stripes already? Seems like every team is using this style, even though it adds unnecessary designs to a jersey. I like that they tried to represent the jersey a certain way along with going for a vintage feel and IMO it would've worked if they kept the original logo on it instead of some WNBA looking patch. Heck I will just list them all. Red Wings: Hasek, Yzerman, Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Fedorov, Chelios, McCarty.
