Franzen has played 4 full games so far this season and already has 4 goals. Virtually a goal per game. How many goals do you realistically think Franzen will score this season?

For me, the question is not how many goals he will score, its how many games he will stay healthy for.

I voted 35-40. I feel like he has the opportunity to score 45+, but I need to see him completely healthy for an extended period of time. He's already missed 2 of 6 games, if you extend that out over 82 games that's 28 +/-2 games he'd miss. Granted, it's a very small sample size to work with, but after the injury last year and the unfortunate/illegal hit this year, I feel like it's a legitimate concern.

For me, the question is not how many goals he will score, its how many games he will stay healthy for.

Before I even saw the poll options, I was thinking between 35 - 40...... so obviously that's what i voted.....As already stated, he has the ability and potential to score 45 - 50+, but it all depends on his health.

40-45 if he doesn't miss a bunch of games

mid-high 40s wouldn't shock me either but i doubt it will happen

again though he needs to stay healthy even for 40-45

If he plays the full season, between 35 and 40. The BFF line is just amazingly dominant out there.

I'll go with 30-35, under the assumption he will be injured some time this season.

As mentioned, he's definitely capable of 40+. My only gripe with Franzen is that he's soft as far as injuries go. I voted 25-30 as I'm sure he'll be sitting more games out due to injury.

I'm thinking 40ish. His play this season is really starting to make me feel better about the Hossa/Franzen decision.

that is true, but i think we will see filpula have a better year because of franzen. the good thing about the mule is that he creates his own chances, not to detract from bert or fil.

Filppula has 5 points +4 in 6 games
Bertuzzi has 8 points +5 in 6 games
Franzen 4 goals and 5points in 4 full games

I lol'd, that is great.

I voted 40-45, I really think that if he stays healthy (meaning not missing more than 2 games at a time) he will be our leading goal scorer. The chemistry on that line is amazing right now, and if it continues I see the three of them combining for 80 goals and at least 150 points.
