Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 First! Is Howard in goal? I've been hearing that Ozzie's going to start. Howard will be in against the Ducks, Osgood will go against LA. Chris Osgood will return to the lineup Friday as Jimmy Howard's backup when the Detroit Red Wings visit the Anaheim Ducks. Osgood, out since Nov. 1 with a strained groin, will start Saturday in Los Angeles. To make room for Osgood, the Red Wings on Wednesday reassigned goalie Joey MacDonald to the Grand Rapids Griffins. MacDonald, 30, made no starts and only one relief appearance during his stint in Detroit, which began Oct. 28 when Howard was hurt. MacDonald served as Detroit's backup goaltender for 15 games. Osgood last appeared in net for Detroit in a 5-2 win against the Nashville Predators on Oct. 30.
j.hoop 64 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 i feel like ozzie should be in for anaheim, and howard in for LA. anaheim is the lesser of the two teams IMO, hopefully ozzie is ready
hooon 1,089 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry is a scary good line. Looking forward to seeing Z and D shut them down. No doubt the Wings are the better team, I hope to see a strong 60 minute effort and for our bigger guys to not let them push us around. Great GDT, as always. Zion 93 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 Is Babs going for the "sure win" again, like he did for the Western Canada trip? (i.e. get that win in Edmonton, and even if the Wings lose in Van, they still got 4 of 6 pts) That mentality is an interesting one... trying to stockpile some points early in the season! First time in years that I'll be attending a hockey game as a fan instead of media. It's going to be strange having to PAY for a ticket, isn't it? Should be a more relaxed game for you to be able to watch it all. Hope they'll pull it off for you.

BigWillieStyle 662 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 Looking forward to the game tonight, I like the weekend late night games much better than mid-week. Yes. It leaves more time for a few pre-game drinks. Without the need to arise hungover again and having to slug out another day a work in that condition. On another note. Hudler could really win back our hearts tonight by challenging Parros...........and winning.

He's been to Boston, Calgary, LA, and Detroit in that time. Sometimes it's easier to have a stable place for your children to grow up, and have dad go make money where he can. I think these situations are more common in sports, and in regular life than we would think. Doesn't Pavel's family stay in Russia still??? (not sure) I'm not sure about Rusty's reasons, but Stuie's family moved out here once he signed long-term. They didn't move when he was a rental because his wife was due (baby was born during the first round of the playoffs IIRC). Now they live in Detroit, but his step-daughter's father is back in Cali. Svetlana is living in Russia since Elizabeth is going to school there. They had lived in Detroit when Elizabeth was younger, but moved when she got to be school-aged. This has been As the Puck Turns. We now return you to your regularly scheduled GDT... 1 thegerkin reacted to this

Din758 371 Report post Posted December 3, 2010 youd think that with the family gone and players all over the place there would be alot of cheating going on. if not from the players than the hot, lonely hockey wives stressed out from raising the children. youd have to be a fool to hook up with a hockey wife though, sounds like a perfect situation to get your teeth knocked in... I also thought I've heard Kenny and Murph ( or Mickey) talking about his family still being there. Maybe I'm just imagining that. Another symptom of my refusing to grow up, no matter how old I may get.
