puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Too bad Ozzie didn't score a goal to tie it. I thought maybe that's why Babs put him in. heh! 2 55fan and ACallToArms reacted to this
nate94gt 134 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Can't believe the Flyers sat back the entire period. What a bunch of dumb asses. when you get a 3 goal lead heading into the 3rd, you could do that. The wings have no idea what its like to be up 3 goals after 2 periods, however.

syntax 359 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 darn so if vancouver wins tonight they take over 1st place in the western conference ? They'll tie us with 24W, 53 points. It's a given that we'll lose first in the West anyway, you can't win the west playing .500 hockey.

Vladifan 680 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Did the Wings all take massive amounts of Lunesta or Thorazine before the game? I wondered what all those damn butterflies were doing flying around the arena. 2 PenaltyShot 96 and 55fan reacted to this
wings_fanatic 677 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 You gotta think Ozzie earned the nod for the next couple of games. This game was simple... the team is not playing confident right now in front of Howard, and he isn't confident enough either. Ozzie came in for period 3 and turned the game into something, making 3 huge saves in the first 30 seconds and next shift Wings score. That is goaltending, providing the teams with timely, necessary saves and Ozzie showed he is able to do that right now. I would like to see Ozzie play Tuesday in Edmonton and Friday in Calgary, with Howard getting the nod in Vancouver on the back to back as Ozzie clearly deserves some credit here by Babs and it will be a shame if Babs does not give it to him. On another note, I think Lidstrom and Rafi together, with Stu gone, really lifted the team up and get them moving faster... I would like those 2 to stay together even if Stu is okay, which i sure hope he is.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Get real of course they'll win. And you're basing that off of what exactly? If anything, being a Detroit fan should teach you that regular season success in no way translates into the playoffs.

Guest mindfly Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Why are you always confident Detroit will lose, but other teams will win? Because canucks is obviously the best team in the nhl and has been for a month or so, while colorado has been slumping lately.
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Glad Babcock finally made some changes to the defense pairings and goaltending. It only took about a month to see things weren't going well. Ozzie has got to get the start on Tuesday.
ACallToArms 270 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Why are you always confident Detroit will lose, but other teams will win? Because mindfly just likes to troll this board. If his "predictions" were correct the Wings would lose 100% of their games...
