Kenny, STOP!!!!! If he wants more then 2million, he can go f*** himself. And if the Wings waste more cap space on dead weight.. f***. I just cant see us signing Jagr for the money rumored.

Since the news about Jagr being interested in Detroit broke, I've been thinking they'll go up to $3 mil, but no more. They'll waive or trade Hudler and the cap hit will be virtually nothing and we have an upgrade at wing.

I would easily swap 39 year old Jagr for Hudler. That salary swap or even paying .5 more for Jagr would be a good deal in my book.

If huds is worth over 2 than an aging Jagr (after seeing the Worlds) is worth at least 3.

And the Pens just turned around & spent that $2m to re-sign Tyler Kennedy so the Jagr door looks to be officially shut there.

lol at Jagr and Kennedy getting the same offer!

You know why, Kennedy's pedophile mustache much closer resembles Sids than anything Jagr could hope to grow.

Ya this business of extending deadlines, trying to create pressure by saying other teams were in the mix, unethical by all means. Have fun in the K bro.

Jagr, lol.

Wasn't it only a year ago he said he would play for league minimum to be with the Pens. Then this year it's not about the money it's about going to a contender. Watch him sign with Florida for $10 over two years :)

12:10 p.m. The Detroit Red Wings, according to several reports, are out of the b idding for Jaromir Jagr, as well. That is two teams that have dropped out in the past 60 minutes. Philadelphia and Montreal are believed to be the front-runners now for Jagr's services. According to Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune, the Penguins became disenchanted because Jagr's people brought in additional teams at the last minute.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if he went to the Flyers after yesterday's hoax?

I know this is an old topic but I saw this from Down Goes Brown....great blog to read if you are looking for a reason to laugh at the canadians, and let's be honest, we don't need a lot of reasons but it's fun to have additional reasons.

Here is what he said about Jagr to Philly...

Jaromir Jagr, Philadelphia

The good: Despite repeated requests over the years, wisely insisted on delaying his return to North America until he was absolutely positive his mullet was in game shape.

The bad: Forgotten sports stars attempting improbable comebacks rarely find success in Philadelphia until they've murdered a few dogs first.

Worth noting: Has previously played for the Penguins, Capitals and Rangers, meaning he's apparently aware of the same four NHL teams as Gary Bettman.
