VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Dammit, why do they always play Friday nights... I have class Friday from 6-9. Holy s*** Khabibulin has a GAA under 1?! The Bulin wall is back. I think this game will be a goaltending battle. Howard vs. Khabibulin. Howard better keep the Oilers young guns at bay, and the Wings better find some snipers quick. WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Thanks for the GDT Mike I hope they play hard. Looks like we better take every shot we can at Khabibulin because something is bound to get past him. I won't be able to be online tonight and hopefully I'll be able to at least watch it live. Let's Go Wings!!! 1 Hockeytown0001 reacted to this
Red Crazy 201 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 I watch a lot of Edmonton games. They are fast and have a pretty good power play but they also can take a lot of dumb penalties. If the Wings play for a full 60 min and put pressure on their D the Wings will be fine. This is a team that never quits! 4-3 Wings
Opie 308 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 The B's put up 6 last night on the Oil, I think the young legs are hitting a bit of a slow down, I am sure they will have a resurgence soon. But Smyth was a driving force and the Oil had way too many late game turn overs coming out of their own zone. Marchand had three chances at that last goal, he stole the puck twice in a row almost in the same spot, skated down the left wing, waited for bodies in front and tried to snipe a corner, successful on his third shot of the two odd man rushes in about 45 seconds. They made sloppy plays at both blue lines. Lets hope their play continues!
St. Michael (the Red Wing) 422 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 No reason why we shouldn't win this game. Edmonton just played a tough game last night in Boston. They will be hungry yes so it should be a battle.

Or should I start now to get the idea into their heads? You're in a different time zone, so you should probably start now so the sound waves have time to get over to the Joe. 1 55fan reacted to this
13dangledangle 958 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 I'll catch the replay after work but I hope the keep chugging along here. Edmonton is looking good and our guys will have their hands full with the top two lines tonite. Jimmy will need to be huge and I think Dats is going to have a big nite and I also hope Bruno and Huds get on the board as well.
Hockey Convert 55 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 As others said, the Oil took a beating last night in Boston, but they saved their red-hot keeper for tonight. I think it's going to come down to whether the Wings can crack 'Bulin early because if they do, even the young Oilers team may not have the legs left to rally and play from behind. Let's Go WINGS! Ram 240 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Think this is gonna be a real good one tonight. Hope the Joe is rockin'. Happy Friday. Let's go WINGS!!!
GSBrooks13 204 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Still seems so wrong having Dats at the bottom of the team with a -4.. So hopefully he scores 4 ES Goals be himself to rectify it.
newfy 695 Report post Posted November 11, 2011 Dammit, why do they always play Friday nights... I have class Friday from 6-9. Holy s*** Khabibulin has a GAA under 1?! The real question is how did you get stuck with class til 9 on a friday?! In my usual state at 9 on a friday I wouldn't even be able to read the slides and probably get thrown out for heckling the prof But anyways, good young team in the oil but hopefully theyre tired from last nights game vs the B's
