Stupid question but can we LTIR him now and free up space before Monday?
We already have 21m in space. What on earth could adding more do us? Unless we wanted to add the entire Florida Panthers team to the roster.

Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

Was it Babs or Kenny that mentioned last week that they wanted to get Smith some playing time up with the big club before the end of the season? I think this guarantees Smith will see action soon rather than later now.

Wow. Not at all bummed that a Red Wings player just fractured his wrist and will be out of the lineup for at least a month?I'm not at all sad.
I'd remember this post of yours when you think of lecturing someone on not supporting the Wings.
The Wings just got worse defensively. Picking up Quincey definitely is a good move now.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. Do I like that he fractured his wrist? Of course not. Will I miss him on the ice? Not at all, and that's what I meant. He makes me facepalm on a regular basis like nobody has since '05-'08 Lilja.

Get well soon Big E. Surely the Quincey deal swings (maybe) back in our favor. Bring up Smith please. I rather see him up here now than Kindl or Commodore.

It seems like you'd want the best lineup on the ice.
Ericsson also was 4th on the team in PK minutes (tied with Lids). In his absence that means those pk minutes will be picked up by Lidstrom, Stuart, Kronwall, and now Quincey.
Like I said, picking up Quincey now becomes a good move as he can pick up some of those minutes without them having to go to Commie and Kindl.

if Smith is called up now, then maybe Kindl is part of some sort of deal in Kennys master plan

Sucks Ericsson is hurt, but it might help in the long run to give Kindl, Commodore and maybe even Smith minutes heading into the stretch.

I like Commie, but i rather Kindl play Orr like hockey while Ericsson's injured, so that when he's healthy Biggie but smalls ain't needed no more. Wings then get the luxury of trading away Big Rig to the all you can eat Florida Panthers, gaining a healthy chunk of salary cap space, along with having all star calibre J. Kindl's outta all of this. Repeat for 2013. I have a funny feeling though this might not happen, so get well soon there Big Rig

Me as well. Babcock said he wanted to get him some more NHL time before seasons end. Now is the perfect opportunity. I'm excited to see him play for the wings.

His play of late means he's above Commodore. He played in 8 straight IIRC prior to Quincey arriving.
Ken Holland: He’s (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, he’s a puck hound.
