Icesurfer 75 Report post Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Wings may benefit from the possibility that the Devils are happy to be right where they are in sixth seed and to play the third seed in the first round. They may rest a few key players. I think the Devils are going for a penalty kill record..... if so that should be easy against the Wings. On the PP Vancouver makes some nifty passes to the skater in front of the net who in turn passes it to a skater coming down into the slot or off to the side of the net.... great play... goalie doesn't see it. I like it better than the attempted tip play.... that is getting boring and is not working. Lidstrom can do a shot pass to Homer who then passes it off to Datsyuk moving down or across or off to the side of the net. "The Devils’ penalty killing efficiency of 89.8 percent (26 goals against on 256 times shorthanded) would surpass the post-expansion league record of 89.3 percent established by the 1999-2000 Dallas Stars." P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Anyone know if Howie or Conks is getting the start? I haven't read anything, but you would think Babcock wants to warm Howard up for the playoffs. He's just getting back to form. Oh, you forgot Helm from the injury report. Edited April 5, 2012 by P. achildr1 255 Report post Posted April 5, 2012 Anyone know if Howie or Conks is getting the start? For some reason I thought Howe when I read Howie. Lol, it would probably be better than Emmerton anyway. Gordie could probably still snipe a goal or two, must line him up with Dats.
evilzyme 769 Report post Posted April 5, 2012 Lets carry the effort from last night and push to finish the season strongly. LGW Hopefully Howie gets the nod tonight and Saturday but im not sure how Babs is going to treat that groin. 1 Ray1905 reacted to this

I must confess that I fell asleep last night, mid-game, and missed all goals and the shootout. I shall have a nap a few hours beforehand tonight, so as to be primed for viewing this evening Jersey is being nicely laundered also as I speak, so I can get this smelly vintage one off! e_prime 1,936 Report post Posted April 5, 2012 The Wings need a win tonight if they want home ice, Nashville has 2 "easy" games to finish the season. Would agree that Nashville has the "easier" of games. (Two teams on the outside looking in) ...but Dallas is going to be desperate for a win tonight as they still have a chance for the post-season, so I see a really tough game for the Preds tonight. As far as Saturday goes, I really hope that Colorado is ready and willing to play out their season strong.
