Ryan Sproul@Sproully9323m

Headed to Abbotsford tomorrow to join the Grand Rapids Griffins for the rest of the year

Great news! Both him & Ouellet seem to be on the fast track to the big club... Can't wait for the young defensive phenoms to get here!

So if they're here next year, who goes?  You can't have that green of a defense core.

Kronwall-Ericsson
Smith-Kindl
Sproul-Oullet

that's awfully inexperienced.

I’d expect them both to spend at least two full years in GRs.

They won't be with the big club & I would put even money on DeKeyser starting the season in GR too actually.

Money on the Board 2014: $5 per series, $5 per sweep, $5 per Kronwalling, $10 per Marchand Kronwalling, $1 per Zetterberg game, $1 per 2013 Calder Cup roster player goal

ya he has ... we should trade him for jason pominville since he hasnt proven anything yet

on a side note ... has anyone been watching any games??? keep checking the stats but jarnkrok still has 0 pts although he was a +2 , anyone got any comments on jarnkrok's play so far?

Hell yeah.  Jarnkrok, Sproul, Jurco, Almqvist, Callahan, Tatar....  I wish there was an AHL gamecenter.  I would not miss a single GR game.  Hopefully Ouellet comes over too once his season is over, whenever that is.

This offseason will determine whether Ken Holland should still be employed with the Wings organization.

Please put Smith on the Power Play!

I'm as high on Sproul as any prospect in our system but he still has a long way to go before playing for the Wings.

He struggles with Defence in the OHL, even jumping to the AHL i expect him to make ample mistakes leading to a  lot of -'s.

I do think his offence is unlike any defenceman we have at any level of our system though, he will quarterback the PP and put up pts even if he gives up a few going the other way. I think he'll be much improved next year if he's paired with a strong defensive guy like Ouellet.

Next year is going to be a big one for Grand Rapids, although they will probably be hurt up front losing Nyquist, Tatar and Andersson (Hopefully)

Great news! I hope Pulkkinen does the same thing.

I saw him here in Houston last night, and he looks pretty good. he is going to have to put some size though. He gets shoved off the puck very easily, he looks like a little kid out there. He defiantly has skill though, it will just take him a bit to put on some size.

If  Sproul sees time with the big club next year then that means injuries have decimated them again. I don't want to see him in Detroit for at-least two full seasons. I see Dekeyser being the Lashoff of this year next season. The first callup if needed but spending a good chunk of the season getting bigs minutes in GR.

Just a quick note for AHL Live. Dont expect to get the same quality as you do with like NHL Gamecenter. Most of the games are non HD, just one camera with a radio broadcast piped over it, no scoreboard/clock, no replays. Quality is in my opinion terrible. The fact it costs almost 200 bucks for a full season is a complete ripoff when Gamecenter is a quarter of that. There are ways that cannot be talked about here that you can get the same quality streams without the cost. Google is your friend.
