i would say that Legwand will re-sign with us where as the others will test the UFA market in the summer.

He has waived his NTC to come to the Wings so that tells me he wants to come here.

Sorry, pure speculation on my part. I just imagine the generic "prospect" label to trades of this caliber means a top prospect and not just a pretty promising one.. just my opinion, and if that's the case, I'd rather welcome legwand and hold onto Mantha.

So we could have had Moulson or Vanek by the looks of things.

Yeah. We could have given up prospects and picks for these guys that are going to go to free agency. Vanek who apparently is going to Minny and Moulson who's really is no great prize.

We need D. Obviously, the price for Erhoff and Edler was too much for anyone. Legwand is fine. Helm, Z, Datsyuk, Weiss all injured - we need a C to patch up the boat for a while, but without giving up too much (hope it wasn't too much)
