A thread to discuss this matchup.

I'm obviously rooting for the Blues in this one.

Darth Vader vs Voldemort

I guess I have to go with the Blues.

Great, now I'm picturing Hitch in black armor and a cape & a bald Quenneville with no nose.  I work around way too many Hawks fans, so I too am pulling for the Blues in this one.

If there's a "Should I drink hemlock or arsenic?" matchup, this is it.  Don't like either team, can't stand the fans of either team.  Kinda hoping for a black hole at the arena for this one.

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

I would love nothing more than to see Chicago knocked the eff out in the first round.

I deal with the cognitive dissonance by pretending the Blues are team Sweden because of the color of their unis. Everyone should join me.

Heja Sverige...err Blues!

Eh... I still don't believe the Blues are for real.  And I think Chicago will take it even with their injuries.  Not saying I like Chicago, but I think it's clear to pick the winner here.

I really liked the Blues all year till the last month. I still think they get this one done. Blues in 7!

Kane, Toews? I think they're both due back for the start of the first round, but there'll be a little rust no doubt.

That said, as we saw sunday, the Blues are really banged up. So who knows. Would love to see Chicago exit early though

If you asked me two weeks ago, I would have said Blues hands-down, after Sunday's game, not so sure. I still think they will win, and really hope they do, it will be a very close series that could swing on a bounce or two, much like our series against Chicago last year.

It looks like the Hawks easily here, but the playoffs are always a whole new game. Blues will get their groove back late, but the Hawks will win in six.

Both teams stumbled into the playoffs but the Blues really did. I'm pulling for STL but I think CHI wins a war in 7.

Chicago in 7 and their minor league team loses 4 straight in the 2nd round while the regulars sit on ice packs.

I like this team.

As Chicago is the defending Cup champions, I must hold my nose and cheer for St. Louis. Chicago must not be the first team since the 97-98 Wings to repeat...

I heard a quote from Hitchcock yesterday on the radio. He said the Blues weren't going to try to intimidate or go after the Hawks. That teams have been trying to do it for 5 years and Hawks aren't going to be intimidated. I believe this is code for the exact opposite. I think Blues are going to make this series a repeat of last year's slugfest with the Kings. It hopefully goes 7 with some heavy bruises left on the Hawks.

I am sick of Bickell and Shaw's after whistle antics in the playoffs that get no calls, I hope they get clobbered.

Blues are riddled with injuries which ruined the chemistry and resulted in their recent losses; will be a very unique matchup
