That's why us Canadians are so friendly...we're just drunk all the time... ;)

There's got to be something to it. When I went to Central I thought that my buddies and I could drink, and we really could drink...a lot. But then I visited some friends at Michigan Tech. Jesus Christ. It's really hard to explain the kind of drinking they do. It's like nothing I've ever seen. Natty Ice might as well be water up there.

So I strongly believe that the colder it is, and the more isolated it is, the harder people drink. Which is why everbody in DC drinks for s***.

I got my master's degree at Georgetown, which is why I live in DC now. But to be honest, I probably had waaaaaaaaay more fun in Mt. Pleasant. Nobody drinks like they drink in cold weather climates.

Unfortunately I didn't drink much during college because the alcohol I was exposed to tasted so bad I ignorantly assumed it all did, (a shame too with Founders right in my neighborhood!!).

It's was those crazy Blue Jacket fans in Columbus and Arrogant Bastard drinkers in California that got me hooked on beer for a while. Now I live in the Houghton area and don't drink at all since we had our first child this year. When things settle down I'll hopefully have time to indulge once in a while.

I dated a girl from Houghton lake, we went up to visit her mom and her brother and I drank so much with him and his friends I only remember flashes of the actual stay.

I remember driving up, and stopping the car on the side of the highway to throw up on the way home.

I live in the other Houghton, but there's not much to miss up here, just snow.

Snow rules dude. I miss it so bad. Everybody in Michigan ******* about the snow, but I honestly dont' know what they'd do without it. Snow makes Northerners tough. You've got to be tough when the world is dead for half a year. And we thrive on that. You'd go absolutely crazy if you had to listen to these Southerners whine about a 50 degree night in dixie.

All of the best things happen when it's cold. Hockey, hunting season, dark beer, flannel, snowmobiles, ice fishing, and heavy set girls.

What's to like about warmer climates? Flip flops and Jimmy Buffet? Ewww. No thanks.

Yeah I don't mind the snow, I grew up here so I'm used to it, but it's the only thing here haha. I admittedly got a little spoiled living in Boston, Columbus, NY and LA with all the Libraries, museums, film festivals etc.,

But my family is here and they don't steal my money so it's good. (I of course don't have 30million dollars though)

Some people don't appreciate the cold in Canada...

This is from today. Highly recommended for a good laugh.

Hahahahahaha. How do you become that miserable of a f***? Seriously. Absolutely nothing on earth could make me throw a s*** fit tantrum like that. Nothing. Let alone a weather report. Sad thing is, I've actually met people who are on the way to this. "Morning Bill"...."What's so good about it?"..."Alright, then go f*** yourself Bill".

Lmao Ya. I mean Ya sure the wind sucks and all but was that an appropriate reaction? Absolutely not. A very miserable Guy at work gave me s*** the other day for parking in "his spot" which isn't actually anyone's spot, I think maybe he just called lifetime dibs or something lol, he was honestly infuriated. I thought it was funny, he had to park 2 spaces over, oh no...

That's true, but it takes a lifetime of being a miserable prick to leave a phone message like that. This dude was not an "entitlement generationer". He was a middle aged dude that ought to know better than to behave like a bawl baby.

Reminds me of this guy. Who coincidentally is also Canadian lol.

Lol I know a couple guys who live in the UP year round. Well they have a joke that they know how many days of winter they had by counting the Crown bags that pile up in their house.

Haha, I got the least important of my degrees at Central yes, but I have no special affinity for the school or its sports teams. As a matter of fact, I don't have half a f*** to give about college rivalries in general. But I do think it's funny when others get riled up about it.

Thanks for the reminder though, I really should change my location in my profile.

Aww man central was real great to watch in football for a few years. I've been a Brian Kelly fan since gvsu so I actually watched cmu and cinci games while he was there. Heck of a coach.

And rivalries are what make college football so amazing. I'm also one of the few michigan fans that actually cheer for our rivals to do well especially against the sec and PAC 12.

I'm truly only anti SECheat.

I'm almost 25 and my parents help me deal with my money. It's not because I'm stupid, it's because they've handle their own money very successfully with minimal input from advisors. If I acquired millions I would definitely trust them to help until I felt I could make good choices with it or until I found an advisor that I trusted to work with.

Sucks that he was betrayed by his family.
