My personal top 3 would be...

1. Cholowski

2. Veleno

3. Zadina

Oof. Hard to narrow it down to just three, but, yeah, I think I'm in agreement.

Rasmussen was underwhelming against Minnesota but was much better last night.

Vili Saarijarvi's been hampered by some kind of nagging ailment that's caused him to miss parts of both games. He's looked ok.

Givani Smith hasn't shown up on the score sheet, but not for a lack of opportunities. He's been fun to watch.

Jared McIsaac is looking like someone who probably shouldn't have slipped to the 2nd round of the draft.

Patrik Rybar was solid in net against Minnesota.

I thought Axel Holmstrom, like Rasmussen, was underwhelming against Minnesota and much better against Dallas.

David Pope hasn't impressed me.

This is what's been a bummer for me. While he's been playing I thought he's looked good.

Cholowski will probably make it. Right now the roster sits at 21. Take away Z and Franzen that leaves room for 4. Zadina, Rasmussen, Hronek, Cholowski.

If Svech tears it up, it could spell the end of Frk.

Or maybe, Kronwall doesn't make it out of camp. Or too far into the season.

If we're going better than, if we started at two verys and increased to 3 verys, 3 verys is actually 50% better than two verys, but 2 verys is 33.3% worse than 3 verys.

Uh. I said by MY calculation. No yours. MmmmK?

I like that #1 line! Come October, just replace Veleno with Larkin and we'll watch some stars shine!

Keep Mantha and Larkin together. They showed some great chemistry last season.

Future top 6...

Mantha - Larkin - Zadina

Rasmussen - Veleno - Athanasiou / Bertuzzi / Svechnikov / Berggren

Zadina is having a rough 1st period in game three right now. He's taken some big hits and isn't looking comfortable.

He hasn't been that impressive in any of the three games to be honest (relative to expectations).

Saarijarvi has been very impressive so far in this game.

Holmstrom bangs in a rebound off a McIsaac shot.

Homer 2! 1-0!

You can tell he's a very special player, but you can also tell he's an 18-year-old scoring winger who's never played North American pro hockey.

Agreed on both fronts, I've actually liked what I've seen out of Saarijarvi in each game so far, aside from his leaving the games early.

I will say it's easy to see why Zadina went so high, he's definitely got an impressive skill set and that shot comes off extremely quick.

Ain't nothing wrong with that.  Just means he needs some ripening.
