Here we go again , he was lucky in the sense it was vegas’s First year in the league and they wanted to make a splash and since they were doing so good and a deal they wanted to make fell through with time running out,

i never said holland never specifically demanded for pieces .... but if you want to keep beating a dead horse keep on being a dickhead since that seems to be your thing on this board, suits you

As for duchene since hes also a ufa  like Nyquist although much better he should still fetch a good return

So what kind of good fortune can we look forward to this year? Maybe Poile accidentally drinks a mimosa instead of his daily Metamucil and gets feeling all risky and s***?

Or maybe Holland, you know, will just do some things a good GM would do because he's a good GM.

I don’t know your the one who seems to know everything , maybe instead of being dickhead 24/7 you can give some opinions on something worth while

This Duchene trade looks like it could be great news for Detroit. It looks like two of the big forward names (Duchene and Panarin) are off the board, raising Nyquist's trade value. And Bobrovski may be staying put now as well, leaving Howard as the only real viable trade option in goal.

Just now, Dabura said:

Why sigh? That's great news. Another forward off the board. I hope Hayes gets moved next.

Yup. Not just those guys. Probably after pretty much everyone. Like late Monday afternoon when some desperate GM's other plan falls through.

Douchez

It’s really Calgary or bust no one will take howard , best hope would be them actually trading bob and asking us for Howard but I That’s first for jimmy is a dream

Good call.  And Duchene fetched a good ransom, which means our remaining tradeables could grant us favorable returns.

Then again - Ken Holland.

Everyone be throwing themselves at them other boys and our boy be sitting in a corner all neglected like. Hopefully Nyquist isn't the last high-profile scoring forward left on the market.

Calgary is obviouslu the likely destination if he gets moved, but with games still remaining before the Monday deadline, anything can happen. Doubtful at this point, but if any of the contenders lose their number one goalie, he could still go there as well.

Ya it’s take a miracle at this point for some injury though it’s flames or cbj if bob gets moved and both likely won’t fetch a first ... I’d just take a 2nd + at this point , Howard likely returns to us regardless , we need as many picks as possible

Real GMs get s*** done early. Only the luck-ass ones get s*** done late.

Are there any rules for how far out a draft pick can be?  For example, is it possible to trade for a 2025 1st rounder this year?  The rapid decline of Kings and Blackhawks is making me think that might be the smart play.

Pick 27 in 2019 <<<< pick 3 in 2025.

Kings are already there...

Pick 2 in 2019 > Pick 10 in 2015.
