Just dont think the bruins see us as a threat at this stage and by the time the pick would be ready if ever it wouldnt effect the current core ... oh well

Boston does not want to do a divisional rival any favors. It happens. I mean hell, Boston gets upset in the first round and suddenly you're looking at a mid-round first.

So Yzerman must have been

a - golfing

b - not wanting anymore 1st round picks

c - just generally totally incompetent

If they hang on and win the division it would be a late first ... anyways it is what it is

I have little doubt Tampa will overtake them. Either way, the trade is nothing to get annoyed over. I'm just trying to offer some perspective.

Anyways like i said it is what it is , cant do f*** all at this point ... just dont wanna see anymore cody’s in our future

That's a steep price to pay for Yzerman. Which is likely why Yzerman did not make a trade with them. The whole point of targeting that first is to do Boston the favor of taking the Backes contract, not to give up valuable assets yourself...

Boston would have to give up a hell of a lot more than that to get Fabbri, disney.com, AND to rid themselves of the Backes cap hit.

Rebuilds are long and tough. We just gotta have some god damn faith!

Jeff Blashill reminds me a lot of Dutch van der Linde. Always talking in circles while the fire burning around him grows stronger. Gallant probably more like an Arthur Morgan. We need that s***.

Well we’re a rebuilding team so those firsts are valuable for a team in our situation and i know everyone loves fabbri but i think when we turn stuff around he wont be here and if so he’ll be a 3rd line guy and glendening likely will be gone ... anyways point is we had to make it difficult to make boston say no to the trade , im not super sold on kase so thats also why i think we could have made it work

anyways none of us will ever know what stevie offered so its just speculation at this point and all pointless

Make a deal hard to refuse != overpay. Rebuilding teams shouldn't overpay for anything period. In the end, you never ever give up a guy like Fabbri in that trade. Anaheim didn't pay much in the trade they are doing Boston a huge favor here. We could rack up a few first rounders if Yzerman overpays for a bunch. But all that would do is set the team back.

Were rebuilding though and those two guys arent a part of our future imo .... kase and fabbri are putting up similar stats , dont see it as the ducks doing bruins that big a favour theyll be paying 3 mill in actual dollars got a 2nd rd prospect (which id have told them to keep) and a 1st

Set us back how? We’re dead last and glendening is likely gone monday or after next season and everyones in love with fabbri but hes nothing but a 3rd line guy down the road if hes still here anyways the point is we had an opportunity to land a 1st , didnt happen

Dont know if theres anyone else out there with a bad contract not named louie eriksson we might be able to take ... were wasting dead cap space , unless chris illitch doesnt want to waste money we should be getting in on some of these moves

Until all of the usual suspects post, there will be suspicion that you're a sock account.
