    Ozzy for game 4?

Unless Howard stinks the joint out, you've got to ride him the rest of the way.

Osgood won't be any better. It's Howard or bust.

I don't blame Howard for these losses. Yeah, he gave up that 4th goal that he should have had, but the team is just as fault as he is. He needs to stay in, the team needs to play better.

As far as I'm concerned, I really understand that Howard is green in the playoffs and he was going to get some lumps. I'm more pissed off that Babcock bet the farm on Howard since December and now we have the best playoff goaltender in the last two seasons rusted pass the point of no return. Babcock doesn't seem to inspire the team, he plays favorites constantly, and now he has a rookie goaltender that is looking pretty sad between the pipes while the one he owns a ring to is taking stats.

Howard doesn't get to 74 playoff wins if you give up on him now. Ozzie wasn't always Mr. Playoff's you know. Not every goalie is going to pull a Ken Dryden in their rookie season. Extreme overreaction.

Not a chance. Sorry the Wings aren't a s***ty ran team like Washington that just changes goalies day to day. Jimmy needs to prove himself, and the Wings actually need to come to play in front of him.

Bryzgalov has let in only two less goals, and he has not been repeatedly hung out to dry by his defense.

I won't mind having him back but would rather trade him. A lot of people in here are talking about how the people who are mad at them shouldn't be. Doesn't everyone remember how he handcuffed the organization and we were left with Jason Williams as our free agent crop? I would rather trade him, playing in the top 6 is not for Hudler. He's slow, bad defensively and weak. He thrives playing o the third line against weaker opposition and playing as a PP specialist. If we can trade him I would do it for sure, as long as the return is half decent. Maybe try to get a couple prospects or something for him.

I'd take St. Louis over Hudler any day.St. Louis actually plays defense.

Already emailed these to Puck Daddy, not sure if they'll be shown there though. Then found out about this thread, enjoy: The Three Tenors. Unoriginal, but made it anyway.

Thats a Dick Move, You yourself have bben one of the Osgood haters and Now you want him to bail us out... What happened to Howard is the man? Osgood should retire? come on..... You just want another reason to love Howard and hate Osgood. If Osgood starts and doesnt win because of the team in front of him.. then It will be HIS fault not the fact that Howard sucked enough to have to go to Osgood... Leave Howard in Win or Lose he's been your guy all year... let him ride it out! time to take off the training wheels....

Really? While I agree the team hasn't been very good, Howard very much cost the Red Wings a chance to win today. Howard was bad - the second and especially the fourth goal were HUGE momentum killers. The stats show Jimmy has been anything but impressive and the offense bailed him out in the win scoring seven. The fact is during the regular season, Jimmy typically always gave the Red Wings a chance to win. In the playoffs, mistakes are amplified as there is no margin of error for poor goals especially against a team like the Coyotes. Jimmy didn't even give the Red Wings a chance to win, which is what you hope for from a goalie on a day when the team didn't appear to have much anyways. That fourth goal was deflating - you could feel it from the fans at the Joe and see it in the body language of the Red Wings. You are arguing against an argument that no one here is even making. None of us have said to start Osgood. It isn't realistic at this point thanks to Babcock's coaching decisions. I'll say it again: another performance like today from Howard in game four and this series is done on Friday.

You really should go back and review the first half of the season. In October, Osgood was getting no help but still many were saying he was the only reason we weren't getting blown out in many games. It wasn't so much that Osgood was bad so much as Howard got hot as hell for awhile and Babcock rode him. Then Osgood got pissed and ran his mouth (while his point, now more than ever, was probably valid, it was still a dumb move) and Babcock benches him even longer. Again, before Howard got going after the Toronto game in which Osgood was sick (leading to his being out a week and Howard getting a chance) and the team was horrible, Osgood had a shutout and 3 outstanding games (.950+ sv.% I believe). Osgood getting benched had to do with Howard playing like a madman and then Osgood running his mouth. He absolutely was not playing nearly as bad as he did in the 2008/09 regular season leading up to it. I was one of the one's saying we needed to give Osgood more of a chance, and i still stand by that, but I'm also not ready to count Osgood out if we need him. To me, it's really this simple: if Osgood's "bad" in the regular season was enough to bench him, Howard's "bad" thus far in the playoffs is just about enough to bench him. I say start Howard in game 4 like most, and I'll certainly be cheering for him, but if he lets in 3 goals that aren't absolutely rock solid goals, in my mind, it's time to go to Osgood. The regular season is a different beast than the playoffs, and thus far, Howard has done nothing to prove that he's ready for it. Again, I'm not saying he's done, and I don't think he's pulling a Manny Legace. I think he's a rookie learning a s***ty lesson. Maybe he'll get it together in game 4, but if not, it's time for him to start learning by watching again.

Negative feedback?? Calm down, you seem to be the one that is getting his panties in a twist when people disagree. And I'm a Wings fan before an Osgood fan, and I'm not alone in thinking two goaltenders are better than one with no experience. The Wings haven't played up to snuff, but as we saw with Hasek before he got yanked in 2008 and Legace in 2006, its really hard to get a foothold when you finally get some momentum and its taken away in 30-60 seconds.

I wasn't a big fan of how he left, but if Kenny had either a plan or has no problem with bringing him immediately back then I'll welcome him. He did lack size but he has an epic pair of balls on him, you will see him in the middle of traffic and scrums. Basically the dude does everything we'd like to see williams do this year, so come on back you angry midget.
