You know what? I can't argue with you on any of that. However, one could make a case that despite being outplayed or outhusseled, despite losing faceoffs (other than on PK's), despite playing with a lack of heart, it took bad calls or bad non calls to put the dagger in in all 4 of SJ's wins. You could make a pretty solid case there. I even want to go so far as to say it's the Wings own fault for having to chase the puck more than being on possession of the puck, but some crucial calls weren't even because of that. I don't know, it's just hard to swallow. SJ deserves to win, and they get the credit, but boy they sure had a lot of help.

Go wings Go !!! Great season boys, we had our up and downs but still and will always be a Wings fan. I'm still proud of this team considering the two last 2 runs.

I've always liked and respected the Sharks and I still do. They're a skilled, big, fast team and we were simply outclassed by them this year. I'll be rooting for the Sharks to win the Cup, who else will be?

Poor showing. I miss the days where Mac, Malts, Draper, Yezerman and Shanny, were standing up on the bench, firing their team up, playing with heart, throwing weight around, shooting, going all out. A little less skill, a little more heart should be the off season strategy. Howard had a great rookie year. A few bad goals, but, he's a rookie, he's supposed to play like a rookie. Tonight, he played fantastic. Hope he comes back stronger next year.

Thank you Red Wings! You were so great. I'm just really pissed off that the officiating determined this games outcome and game 2's outcome. GO MONTREAL OR BOSTON and GO HAWKS OR NUCKS (I can't believe I just said go hawks...) And Lidstrom, I hope you come back. If you don't, please promise us all you'll live a happy rest of your life and you won't think of this loss every time you think about your hockey career ending. Can't win 'em all. We weren't even supposed to make the playoffs. Then we weren't even supposed to make it out of the 1st round. When all is said and done, this team actually overachieved. You did us proud, boys. You've played a lot of hockey these past few years and frankly, you deserve a rest. Probably the worst reffed series I've ever seen.....and thats saying a LOT. However, if we were truly the better team, I think we would have been able to overcome it and still beat them. Many questions this offseason, especially with the (overhyped, overrated) return of short-round.

We found a promising goalie, and going to have Hudler next year. Ritola and Kindl are probably going to be up. Future looks bright.

The trouble with Luongo is the same problem many goalie-based teams have. They put too much pressure on a single guy, and usually sign a bad contract that hurts them from actually improving the team too much. Luongo might do better on a team like Detroit or Chicago where the team is more balanced and he can blend in. In Vancouver, it's basically the Luongo show, he's the captain, got an obscenely long contract (anything above 3 years for a goalie is ridiculous in my book), and he caves. But look at the Olympics, when he had a solid team in front of him and wasn't the star it worked fine. EDIT: Hey, if Vancouver could go from playing well to collapsing, maybe it could happen to San Jose for....oh, I don't know, 3 more games maybe?
