You know what? I can't argue with you on any of that. However, one could make a case that despite being outplayed or outhusseled, despite losing faceoffs (other than on PK's), despite playing with a lack of heart, it took bad calls or bad non calls to put the dagger in in all 4 of SJ's wins. You could make a pretty solid case there. I even want to go so far as to say it's the Wings own fault for having to chase the puck more than being on possession of the puck, but some crucial calls weren't even because of that. I don't know, it's just hard to swallow. SJ deserves to win, and they get the credit, but boy they sure had a lot of help.

I didn't know that Steve Moore was currently living in Puerto Rico.

Go wings Go !!! Great season boys, we had our up and downs but still and will always be a Wings fan. I'm still proud of this team considering the two last 2 runs.

Read between the lines, Babs is blaming the refs for the loss in the series. Can't really blame him.

I've always liked and respected the Sharks and I still do. They're a skilled, big, fast team and we were simply outclassed by them this year. I'll be rooting for the Sharks to win the Cup, who else will be?

Poor showing. I miss the days where Mac, Malts, Draper, Yezerman and Shanny, were standing up on the bench, firing their team up, playing with heart, throwing weight around, shooting, going all out. A little less skill, a little more heart should be the off season strategy. Howard had a great rookie year. A few bad goals, but, he's a rookie, he's supposed to play like a rookie. Tonight, he played fantastic. Hope he comes back stronger next year.

Thank you Red Wings! You were so great. I'm just really pissed off that the officiating determined this games outcome and game 2's outcome. GO MONTREAL OR BOSTON and GO HAWKS OR NUCKS (I can't believe I just said go hawks...) And Lidstrom, I hope you come back. We were lucky to see Roy when he was at his worst, too. Muueeeehaaahaaa. Sick, I know - but I couldn't resist.

Disappointing series, but overall a decent season. I don't think it is so wrong to hope for the Cup every year. But in no means was this a bad season. The Wings fought when they needed most and played their hearts out. Just doesn't feel like we should have lost this one in 5 games. Could have gone 6-7, just some questionable calls and bad bounces. Can't wait for next season. Let's Go Wings!

Considering we were at a 36% chance to make the playoffs with less than a quarter of the regular season to go? I'm disappointed that we didn't move on, but to say that this wasn't a good season is trying to make a situation black and white when there's all kinds of other colors out there.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. How could this league ever be mainstream? The refs decide the majority of games at this point. 1-1 tie in a potential series-deciding game and SJ ends up with a penalty shot, then a crucial offensive zone faceoff after a blatant penalty that leads to a goal. Thanks for the penalty with 40 seconds left, ****** f***s.

I have to say that I kind of feel a sense of relief now that it's all over. I never thought they would win the cup this year anyway, and now that they're out I can just enjoy the rest of the play-offs. And they can get an extra month or so of rest. I just hope that Lids doesn't retire. Chris

I have to get up early tomorrow morning, but I just want to say so long for awhile to those of you've taught me stuff, who've made me laugh, and who've stuck by this team. For those of you who will proceed here to rip and tear and say they played with no heart; or they should have played much harder, you can stick it sideways and rotating. I feel nothing but disgust for you. This team pretty much played their asses off, and not many of us expected them to get as far as they did. I love them and I feel so very bad for them. Later.

I have to say, I was impressed we got out of the 1st with a tie, and still impressed we are tied, because we have been outchanced. We started coming on a bit. The 3rd will separate the men from the boys. I think the wings are going to have to steal one here. So far Howard has been outstanding. HE's kept us in. The game might be out of hand by now.
