he has been pretty awful this year, he coughs the puck up waaay too much, he is good on the pp and that is about it, but i know you like to suck on all of the rookies

Has anyone else been as impressed as I have with Kindl? As expected, he started the season slowly, but since he's been a virtual regular he's playing with more confidence and the difference it makes in his game is enormous. He’s like a different player out there, he’s playing much more phusical along the boards, he’s making good decisions, and perhaps most impressive of all, he seems to know when to stay back and when to jump in offensively. Over the past 12 games, he's only once been a minus player, pretty telling stat I think. He’s got all the tools to be a terrific NHL defenseman. He’s got good size, he’s an effortless skater, he’s showing the willingness to play physical, I can’t see how he doesn’t become at the very least a 2nd pairing defenseman. He waited a long time for this oppertunity, and now that he's got it he seems to be relishing it. Keep it up Jakub.

Babs should play Ericsson as a winger. Be an interesting experiment since were down so many forwards, man I really hope we pump these dirtbags.. doesnt help that we dont have Dats or Mule though. Whatever I'll be cheering regardless, go wings go!

Is everybody this touch all the time around here? Sheesh, people take this way too personally. I love the Wings too. But i'm not affiliated with them. They don't sign my paychecks and nobody in my family is named Illitch so I find it amusing when people seem to react like someone has absolutely wronged them. Leino didn't work here. Dan Cleary didn't work all the places he was it. It happens. We love Cleary because it worked for us. We hate Leino because he's found success and it isn't with us. Don't get all butt hurt over it. Not you personally, just generally speaking here.

I think Salei helped his game alot. Kindl is going to be a good defensemen, im liking what im seeing from him.

Kindl has been great so far, and is improving as he gains confidence and experience. I've said this before, but Kindl > Ericsson. Kindl can see the ice better, and read plays a lot better than Big E. Kindl is our best skating dman. Ericsson has an advantage in the physical side of the game, but Kindl will grow to be the better player by far.

Kindl>Ericsson Ericsson still looks like a lost puppy on the ice and it's been two seasons now.

I'm sure Hasek meant the KHL. He has stated that he is done with the NHL. The line from the article that I though was odd: Really? Lube me up and I'll be ready to go? Yikes!

I've watched every game he's played in and kindl has been great. he actually moves the puck to an open man rather than ericsson shoving it up the boards and giving up possession the second he feels pressure. kindl has made mistakes, but ericsson has made more, and at this point i see much more potential in kindl than ericsson. he just needs more time. kindl is playing maybe a little bit naive at this point because hes new and i think he's more concerned about making mistakes than being relaxed. i'm telling you, the more this guy gets relaxed out there the better he gets.

I find him to be useless but I have nonthing against him personally. I find him to be our weakest dman by far. It just seems imo he doesn't fit into our system...

You know what would be cool? A rule that allows you to stockpile disallowed goals. Since so many end up being legit goals called off, teams should be allowed to save up the ones that the NHL reviews and admits were legit, and use them at any point in any future game, haha. Down 7-1 in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final? Use your 7 disallowed goals to win 8-7.

I have never understood why they don't review the play. The goal that was called off last night was one of the worst calls I have seen yet. These calls are important to the outcome of every game. Just another thing the NHL can't get right.

IDK about you guys but that fish looked fake to me. And I don't think that prissy ice girl would have picked it up like that if it was real.

Apparently he misplaced his scoring touch and is taking some personal time to go look for it.

It'd be good for travel, but bad if they let their kids skate circles around them. Ericsson and Rafalski, especially. Dats and (especially) Zetterberg are just absolute machines in the playoffs, and I think Toews and Kane would be as shell-shocked as they were in '09. Oh, and Helm, FTW.

Of course, but it's still better than nothing. And also better than bringing it in the regular season, but not in the playoffs. It's not like Wings are struggling to get into the post season 'cause Mule is slumping. He's still leading the team in goals, but it's frustrating as he has the potential the score so much more. Right now I think he's good for his salary and I hope the cap rises enough so that he won't be overpayed in his late 30's.
