I think the Wings would kick their asses if they met in the playoffs. The only team in the West the Wings seem to match up especially poorly against is San Jose, so if anyone would volunteer to do the dirty work for them on that front I'd really appreciate it. Obviously the Canucks are a great team and that could go either way. Well, they all could, but that's hockey; no one knows which way the puck will bounce. But as long as I'm sitting here making declarations, yes: Chicago sucks and are not as good as the team I like.

No. Honestly it's arguable he'd even be more than a lateral move if we're comparing each player's output this season. And Semin's playoff play? Yikes... 0g 2a in 7gp two years ago, 4g 2a in 9gp last year. So basically you want to trade Hudler for a guy making more than anyone else on the Wings but producing less offence than Hudler. AND you want to throw tons of other s*** in the deal too like one of our top prospects (Tatar). From Washington's prespective they get guy who can produce as much as Semin in less ice time PLUS $3,825,000 in cap relief (noting that Washington has$0 in cap space right this season). Holland would have to be a meth addict to make that trade. lol

why is everyone giving you minuses? marchand is short, salo is tall, and yes, salo was gonna try to hit marchand high so he took the low road. he only got suspended cause salo got a concussion. if ALL of the canucks weren't such assholes, people wouldn't go after them like they do. hasn't anyone heard lately that no one in the league has any respect for the ****** bag canucks team? they're dirty, yet they dive like no team you've ever seen. the canucks are a mockery to the NHL.

Their 20th straight home win - a historic hockey event - was top billing on TSN when they tied the record. A number of their recent wins leading up to that 20th have also made top headlines. Everybody who knows hockey was already aware of the implications of the game, and you can only write about the streak so many times before you start just recycling the same thing over and over. People ***** and moan about the hockey media constantly reporting on Crosby's concussion despite a lack of new material to write upon yet are up in arms about this? You guys really need to get the collective stick out of your ass and find SOMEthing else to do with yourselves other than whine. I'll explain why without going into stats. The fact Tatar is NHL ready is what makes him ranked above Calle, Teemu and others. Nobody knows if those others will even be NHLers yet, just b/c you dominate lower leagues, doesn't mean you are going to call all the way.

In all fairness, Zetterberg's numbers are crappy this year too. Same as Ovechkin. That doesn't mean those guys are worse than Filppula, who's putting up better stats per icetime.

I like this a bit better.. I don't want to get involved with Semin, next thing we know we are stuck with a big contract on an inconsistent guy that stops caring when he gets paid. I definitely don't want to pay out that much for Semin either, there's much better options out there.

He is getting minuses because he is flat out wrong, and the video evidence shows it in spades. Salo wearing a Canucks jersey doesn't make him a scab.

Honestly I can understand him saying something like that when it's in response to the veiled threats by a whiny ass coach like Vigneault. Especially considering the whiny divers the Nucks have on their team. Marchand should care about his reputation with his coach and teammates, and to a certain extent the refs. A more appropriate response would've been that he could care less what the Canucks coach thinks of them. And if Tortorella gets a 30k fine for ripping on the refs, in the post-Bertuzzi incident NHL, Vigneault should be fined for his comments about Marchand.

Good stuff. Wish I wasn't poor... I always loved Vladdy (still do) and think it would be sooo incredibly cool to have a piece of art made by him hanging up on the wall.

I'd love to see the work he's done...I bet it's pretty awesome. What a lovely thing to have happen to him after all the adversity he's been through.
