I will probable catch some crap for this....But after last nights game The new Logo of the NHL

So I've had some time to cool off and reflect on this incident since last night's rants, and this is what I have to say. I hope Justin Abdelkader takes his stick and uses it as a tomahawk on Shea Weber's ******* head.

Our bottom six players should draw straws for who will be the one to end Weber's season with a dirty hit from behind. And Shanahan can forget about his number ever being in the rafters (not that it would have been anyway). He's suspended players all season for quick time collisions, but this obviously dirty and thought out play doesn't get a suspension. What a tool.

Mursak, Sheahan, Connor, take your pick, any of them could do a better job than Emmerton right now. I would prefer Mursak myself, but I will settle for anyone. Connor and Mursak bring speed and tenacity on the forecheck, and despite a lack of size they are not afraid to throw a bodycheck, and Sheahan brings size and defensive awareness. Emmerton brings nothing unique or necessary to the lineup.

I'm serious. It's utterly obnoxious to compare the mundane to Hitler.

There are few things more obnoxious and insensitive than casually making comparisons between the mundane and the systematic slaughter of millions of people.

Honestly, I hope you don't have tickets to game 3 because you really don't deserve to go with that kind of attitude. I have tickets to game 3 and I will be going to support my team, not debunk them. Anyways, the series will be tied up 1-1 by the time Sunday rolls around.

You're judging this as if the Wings were unprofessional goons. This team has seen this kind of bulls*** many times and the players are disciplined enough to know this can work in their favor big time. If weber's willing to snap like that from a pretty weak hit from z, he'll crack when his team is losing game 2 4-1 in the 2nd period. The guy's a douchebag. He'll make a mistake and it'll cost his team in the end, even if the league dropped the ball on this "fine." They call this guy a captain? Nick Lidstrom, please show this moron how a captain wins a Stanley Cup.

Bettman is a lawyer and much like anything run by lawyers: the NHL is a clusterf*** Look at Congress, almost all lawyers.

No one ever told Gary Bettman the "sticks and stones" mantra. More likely to be punished for speaking your mind in this league than causing bodily harm to another player outside the bounds of the rules. The leagues priority is to keep the high-end players in the game, no matter what. Malkin jumps Zetterberg with a swinging stick and gloved fists, earning automatic suspension? All of a sudden its not in the "spirit" of the rule. Orpik knees a player for the 3rd or 4th time? Look everyone, over there! Tortorella is fined for making comments to the media! Weber pulls one of the most blatant cheapshots I've seen with clear intent to injure? We fined him the "maximum"; next time he'll be in BIG trouble; no injury, no foul; I think his glove might have softened the blow; Zetterberg hit him first; "playoff hockey"? Only players that can be suspended are 3rd-4th line players, with the rare exception.

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Nyquist-Filppula-Franzen Bertuzzi-Abdelkader-Hudler Miller-Emmerton-Cleary I think this gives the best possible spread with Helm out. Here's why: -Loading up on the first line completely occupies the Weber/Suter pairing, and by throwing Holmstrom in there you KNOW one of them is tied up out front of the net and screening Rinne even more. -The second line has all kinds of skill and can score-Franzen and Nyquist have shown that they work well and that line will be hard to match. -The third line gives you some grit and skill - Hudler can be effective down here on the third line as he will have more time and space and he's with two big bodied guys - this line depends on Hudler elevating his game and being the go to guy with the puck. -The fourth line is pretty solid considering Cleary played like a man possessed last night and looked great. This line gives you a good grinding line that will be responsible with the puck. Its not anchored anymore by Holmstrom and can crash and bang as needed. A lot of people are saying that it makes sense to have Franzen or Fil play 3rd line center, but I think this gives you the most bang for your buck. Emmerton can handle 4th line duties-albeit he won't win you games but I think that fourth line won't lose you any either.
