Nope. lol and they've said time and time again they won't trade Nurse. But hey if Frank can think of it, that's just as good right?

Penalty killing ability is pretty tangible when you're in close games (which we will be often again this year). Ability to win faceoffs is an essential part of winning in todays game - Helm back at center will supply that. Speed does matter. Forechecking pressure matters. Ability to move from center to wing up and down the lineup is important for finding line combos whenever we need to change things up. And he does produce as a secondary scorer. He's overpayed, but this is not a player like Emmerton we're talking about here. We're not paying him like a core player. I saw someone else say that and it looks like it's caught on. If we could get a core player for 3.8 we wouldn't be worrying about how to fit in Trouba's caphit as earlier on this page

What about some sort of three way deal involving both Anaheim and Winnipeg? Something along the lines of... To ANA: Nyquist, Marchenko To WPG: Fowler, 1st round pick (DET) To DET - Trouba Anaheim gets their top 6 winger. Winnipeg gets their top 4 left handed defenseman. Detroit gets their top 4 right handed defenseman... I'm not sure if the value in and out would be good for each team, but I don't think it's that far off...

2016 World Cup of Hockey thread

The big mistake by the US team was that they built a team to beat Canada, but forgot they had to play against other teams as well. Not my opinion, this was admitted by Lombardi.

Dan Cleary Gets Training Camp Tryout

For those that like to s*** on Cleary and / or Holland for keeping him around for so long, maybe you should read / listen to some of the interviews by Holland, Martin, or Cleary himself over the past week or so. It's very clear that he's doing a great job with the kids in Grand Rapids, in particular, Bertuzzi. I think Cleary may be a big factor in Bert's success thus far. Like him or not, Cleary is a stand up guy, with an unbelievable work ethic, and if that rubs off on any of the prospects, even a little bit, he's well worth yet another contract. The kids love and respect the guy, and rightfully so. Keep up the good work in GR Cleary, even if most of what you do down there is off the ice...
