First spin on http://nhllotterysimulator.com and this happened: Technically, it could be worse. Chicago is currently a lottery team, but the site is out of date. Just imagine the joy of Pens and Blackhawks missing the playoffs, but then them getting the first two picks and the Wings dropping to 7th.

I did the draft lottery simulator on both http://nhllotterysimulator.com and http://www.tankathon.com/nhl. Bad news is we dropped back to 7th and 6th respectively on the first spin on each site. Good news is we moved up to number 1 with the second spin on both...

Why no Mantha on the PK?

Mantha is averaging 17 minutes a game this season. Where are you cooking up this crap from? Like 1-2 games? Look at the overall season. There's still more games to play.

    Rumors Thread

http://mynhltraderumors.com/nhl-rumors-detroit-red-wings-mike-green-mrazek-nyquist-new-york-islanders/2017/12/23/ Ansar Khan of MLive: (mailbag) If the Red Wings fall over ten points out of the playoff race, it would be hard for them to make up, and they’ll be open for business. They’d start listening to trade offers, but likely won’t start selling right away. Defenseman Mike Green will be their biggest trade chip at the deadline. thinks that they could get a low first round pick (from a playoff team) for Green. If they can’t get first, maybe two second-round picks. They got a second and third round picks for Brendan Smith last year. It’s doubtful that they’d trade Tomas Tatar after signing him to a four-year extension. Could see them trying to trade Gustav Nyquist, but he has a no-trade clause. Nyquist will be a free agent after next season. The Red Wings will look to trade goaltender Petr Mrazek if they are out of the playoff race. They likely wouldn’t get more than a third- or fourth-round pick. The Wings won’t qualify Mrazek at $4 million, so they will look to get a pick for him if they can. Moving Mrazek would be easier than Jimmy Howard who has a year left on his deal at $5.3 million.

    I posted these links in yesterday's GDT: http://nhllotterysimulator.com/ http://www.tankathon.com/nhl http://www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/ http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/sportsnets-2018-nhl-draft-prospect-rankings-november/ https://www.fanragsports.com/2018-nhl-draft-another-year-of-the-defenseman/

What are you talking about? There are only 20 forwards in the entire league that average 20min/night. Mostly superstars. Once again, an issue you're so passionate about yet know nothing about. Maybe do some research first before you act like you know better.

Why no Mantha on the PK?

Sure, but this isn't amateur hockey. You either give 100% in practice and earn your spot and play-time or you get scratched or lose ice-time. You really think Blashill is going to put in Mantha with the mentality of "Well you're terrible at the PK during practice but MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, you might be good during a game" ? These coaches and players are pros, the job description comes with at least some form of rationality. Anyways, what the hell is the point of putting Mantha on PK? I doubt he's even remotely interested in it. He's a goal scorer and for the most part he's being utilized as one. Would you rather have Blash tell him to be on PK, focus on his 200 foot game and ultimately reduce his 5 on 5 time? I guarantee you, you'd just end up bitching about it 5 months from now. For the first time since Bowman era this franchise is actually letting a goal scorer be an actual goal scorer... Just be happy with it.. Anyways, all the other PKers we have are better at it than Mantha is. Larkin, Helm, Glendening, Nielsen, Abdelkader. And if for some reason none of those guys can't to go then my next option would be AA... not Mantha. Hell if for some weird reason if none of those 5 nor AA can go then you put Zetterberg in to kill the penalty.

It's not that you don't meet my elite standards. It's just that you sound like an idiot when you post. Is that more clear? Good. I don't understand. Do you actually think your trolling is good? Here's some tidbits from your very own certified Troll Lover. 1. You should never admit to having another account. That just kills the climax. A troll always keeps his audience guessing. 2. You should never admit to what you're intentions are. Again, you keep the audience guessing. Bad troll. Bad. @Jonas Mahonas you have a new pupil to teach. We've got a newbie here.

There are few things in the world that I want more than to see the Wings get one of the top three picks in this upcoming draft. Maybe that makes me a bad person. Maybe I need to re-evaluate my priorities in life. I don't care. I want Dahlin/Svechnikov/Boqvist. (Take note, Santa.)

First, nice try but you should know that vague useless statements like that doesn't work on this website. The posters here are above average intelligence compared to other forums. Second, I just did a google search and found zero "reputable outlets" accusing the Swedes of what that tabloid idiot Jeff Moss came up with. I seriously suggest you look up who Jeff Moss is, he's notorius for coming up with false rumors and having the cops called on him for Slander multiple times. Third, if you found some "reputable outlets" reporting it and giving direct evidence (NOT circumstancial evidence OR simply quoting Jeff Moss as their "source") then why don't you link those instead? Don't just try to say "Oh there were other better resources but I just posted the two most useless ones and thought I wouldn't get called out". Nice try. Fourth, I'll be waiting for those links.

Why no Mantha on the PK?

I'm not joking, he literally makes up stats to try to prove his points
