Why are you cheering for Seattle tomorrow? Because the Kraken are the last bastion of Northern man. Look at the blasphemous abomination of the sport they have potentially birthed into existence with an all sunbelt conference final. Dallas v Vegas. Raleigh v Miami. Enough is enough. Hockey is a Northerners sport. With Northern traditions and pastimes. It's what we've done on our frozen ponds in the dead of winter for a century now. Generations. Canadian or American, Swedish or Russian, us northys share a culture, a lifestyle, that the southys will never comprehend. Some of these people have never even seen snow b4. The most ice they've seen at one time is the cubes in their sweet tea. So they can build their indoor rinks in the desert or the deep south, but they will never truly be "hockey people" because hockey people are northern people. That is why Seattle must win tomorrow. For us. For our people. For our way of life. And I for one, will not respect a stanley cup champion from a conference finals in which our people are not even represented. All I know is SY needs to add a legit first-line scoring winger this summer, because we can't go into next season with Perron/Kubalik/Rasmussen-Larkin-Raymond. If it's DeBrincat, cool. If it's Bratt, cool. If it's Meier, cool. If it's Connor, cool. Just get it done.

People can't even keep their idiotic conspiracies straight anymore. I just saw fans online wisecracking that the league would have a meltdown if Seattle or Vegas ended up playing Florida or Carolina in the finals. As if Gary Bettman spend the last 30 years expanding the NHL into non-traditional markets only to be agitated when the plan finally bears fruit. Likewise, fans think that the league conspired to rig the lottery to give a generational talent to a team that has no problem selling tickets or getting national exposure without him. The NHL has revenue sharing. Why on earth would they want to send Bedard to a team that generates massive amounts of revenue without him? Wouldn't they want to send him to a team that doesn't generate revenue, hope he increases ticket and merch sales, and then split that new money amongst themselves?
