Highlights from yesterday's game: Larkin wow!

Larkin, Mantha, Nosek, Svechnikov, and Paterson all looked great in those highlights. That Polei fight. Woof.

Some random thoughts from the highlights. Larkin mantha and athanasiou together is an amazing line combo, you could have two literal pylons playing defense with them and I feel like there still wouldn't be any fast breaks against us. And damn can mantha finish. Everytime I see little Bert play, I like him more and more. For being a "pest" he's pretty damn good positionally. Nosek is another one I hope we have room for in Detroit at some point, he does a lot of good things. And turgeon looks like he's getting a lot better quickly, his skating looks much more fluid than it did last time I watched him. We have a lot of prospects who have NHL futures, there's just not room for them all.

the passing looks pretty solid all around. Larkin and Svech stick out for sure. And whoever that second blackhawk fighter was got man handled

I like 71 better for a skill player.

Larkin wanted 17, but Richards snagged it so he flipped to 71. He should most likely be able to get 17 back next season.

You mean like our former one that probably would use Glendening and Miller for most of the 3-on-3 time?

I agree on Larkin, completely disagree on the other point. I just wish everyone would stop referencing the first round exits. It's not as if the team got manhandled and embarrassed. The past 2 years we went to a game 7 and should have won both series. Yes, the team has obvious weaknesses, but they're not as far away as some believe.
