Unfortunately you don't get paid equivalent to how much your job sucks. You get paid based on how difficult it is to do versus the rest of the populations skill set. If everyone was a good enough athlete to be a pro than pro athletes wouldn't make millions, and if it took a rocket scientist to work in fast food or retail then you'd have to go through 10 years of college & get paid a lot more to do it.
