I don't say this often, but I'll be cheering for the Irish next week. Of course, its because I want ND coming to East Lansing undeafeated and overconfident. I don't want them coming in pissed off after a loss to UM in South Bend and knowing that a second loss will ruin any national championship hopes.

So...Go ND :puke:

With the exception of 27 seconds in the second quarter yesterday, MSU dominated EMU, like they were supposed to. Trannon had 14 catches, and passed for a TD on a double reverse. Stanton had 3 TDs through the air and ran for 2 more. Even Hoyer threw a TD. Good to see the offense clicking :)

Comments on games I watched yesterday...

Saw my school on Internet streaming last night (for free too! ). TCU slowly but surely put I-AA UC Davis away winning 46-13, putting the lights out with two TDs in the 3rd quarter after being up by 13 at halftime. Took care of business for the most part and they didn't take them lightly, and don't forget UC Davis won at Stanford last year, so they're no cupcake.

Can't wait for TCU-Texas Tech next weekend, that'll be a fun, fun game to watch with loads of offense. Glad OLN decided to broadcast Mountain West games.

I was surprised how LSU just took it to Arizona. They were pretty sloppy offensively in the 2nd quarter but it didn't matter, the defense was just so dominant or Arizona just kept shooting themselves in the foot. Was 24-0 at halftime, 45-3 final.

Once TCU and LSU ended, I watched all the 2nd half of Texas-OSU. Having a QB that is experienced and a playmaker, or somebody who can consistently get it in the hands of other playmakers goes a long way. Vince Young did it last year, Troy Smith returned the favor.

And I'm not trying to slight Colt McCoy either, he should be a great quarterback in time, but it was hard to ask him to be the man after just two games of starter duty, especially with one of those games against a team that should finish in the top-5 or be a national champion at the end of the season, provided OSU doesn't hit any land mines.

McCoy and UT should be fine, it'll be hard to repeat this year, but they still could contend and be up there the next few seasons.

Michigan 13 Notre Dame 10.

Thats my prediction......If Michigan keeps it low scoring they're gonna pull it out....Not too sure if we can win it in a shootout.

Good grief, OSU and ND at #1 & 2. It's a Michigan fan's absolute worst nightmare.

Hate to be pessimistic, but I don't see us beating ND next weekend. We never win our road opener (six years in a row), and the Irish are way too strong. Hope I'm wrong.

Hypothetically if we went undefeated we would have one hall of a lock on the BCS 1 spot. :hehe:

The Irish are way too strong Michigan fans. This game has a very realistic chance of getting flat out ugly. Irish by at least 10 pts.

One of the best saturdays I can remember with so many huge matchups. Hard to imagine having a Florida-Tennessee, Nebraska-USC or even Michigan-ND not be the biggest game of the day. LSU-Auburn quietly has become one of the biggest games not only in the SEC, but in the NCAA.

I will be glued to the TV on saturday.

I know you really wish that will happen, but if you look at the past your wrong. The only game over 10 points since ending the short ND/U-M hiatus was a 38-0 victory by U-M in 2003. Other scores since then: 25-23, 28-20, 17-10. I do think LSU/Auburn has TONS of national significance, but I think U-M/ND has a little more this year. Michigan has to prove there back, and can win in ND. Nd has to prove they can survive the 1st brutal month of the season, and show they are legit NC contenders.

In the past, Michigan had better teams than they do lately. Notre Dame has had one of the best teams they have had in the most recent few years in this year's team. I am also taking in account that Michigan has not won in South Bend since 1994.

LSU-Auburn is a conference game in the tough SEC and my feelings on the SEC are that the conference has tons of classic rivals....and teams usually beat up on each other during the season. Teams are lucky to escape with 1 loss.

How bout them Buckeyes?

Now the media gets to talk about how Texas shouldn't have been ranked no. 2 anyway, completely ignoring that Ohio State played like no. 1 team. Bill Plaschke even called USC the no. 1 team? Because of their win over Arkansas? Don't get me wrong, USC has a killer defense and I'm sure their offensive replacements are more than suitable, but they had to drop in the standings because of the departures on offense and a win over Arkansas isn't anything that inspires National Championship dreams.

The Bucks have a long road in front of them. With a healthy Tate, Iowa will be a big test. It remains to be seen if the Nittany Lions' game Saturday was a fluke or a telling tale of a one year wonder. Of course there is the Michigan game and who knows what Big Ten team will come out of nowhere to contend this year.

But all in all, a good start. The defense wasnt great but made big plays. Texas did run well against us but the pass defense was tough.

The offense just kind of coasted but looked good doing it. High hopes on campus this year.

For the record...I'm already so sick of Notre Dame, that I might actually like if Michigan won. But then again, that could spring a whole media bandwagon for Michigan. Maybe Notre Dame could win, but Lamar Woodley breaks Quinn's leg or something? I think that's something I might be interested in.

Hey UM fans, I was wondering what the Big House's camera policy is. I'm going to the UM-Wisconsin game next week and would like to take a camera if I could. It's been so long since I've gone that I don't really remember and I'd really like to get some pictures since I just found out our seats are 20 yard line, 5 rows up.

Go USC!!

Speaking of USC...they might get stripped of their Rose Bowl title against Michigan. :D Talk about an ugly win for Michigan if that proves to be true, but I'll still sport a '2004 Rose Bowl Champions' shirt proudly. :P

If the NCAA doesnt have the balls to strip Ohio State of their Maurice Clarett title, then they arent stripping USC of anything.

I guess I would take a U-M lose if it was promised Woodley broke Quinns leg. Its bound to happen to one of the QB's this year. Woodley is insane!

How about a victory and a TD by Woodley? I assume that's acceptable as well.

Hail to victors! Its about dang time ND gets the crap beat out of them. By far the most over hyped team in the nation just because of Fat Chuck, and Brady Quinn Medicine Woman. Henne played great besides his first throw, and I love the changes we've made during the offseason.

I think everyone knows how to beat ND now- Attack Quinn, and get up early. Because Weiss has shown he can't come back from behind (see today and against OSU)
