I have to say some of the things the OSU fans do are in poor taste. AKA the "Dead Schembechler" thing is not all that funny imo, especially in light of the fact that the guy has heart problems and could really die soon. Also, the I" hate Michigan rally" wtf? How about a "Go OSU" rally instead. Yeah I know it's only a few of many fans making a bad name for everyone, but it's still obnoxious. I went to a UM game in Columbus years ago - it wasn't too bad except for having some beer thrown on me at some point. I wouldn't say people were friendly though. I've been to away games at Iowa, Notre Dame, Washington, and of course MSU - and everyone's been very friendly. Most people realize it's just a football game. I hope fans of both teams realize that too. I wouldn't want to be in Columbus this weekend at all.

I recently went to my old high school's football game. All they did was run, it was so painfully boring that I don't know how people could stand to watch football before the forward pass was invented.

On a side note, my high school's fight song is the OSU fight song and our colors are blue and gold. I will never get used to cheerleaders screaming 'GO BLUE!' while that vile song plays at the same time. ;)

Mine old HS does that too. They threw the ball like 13 times ALL YEAR. They use 4 RB's, and 1 FB every play. It's actually fun to watch though because the fake hand off to every back, every play. Somtimes it looks like 3 guys are going to score TD's, but only one has the ball.

This really pisses me off here. This is from the Red Sea Scrolls, a premium Nebraska football board. I cant paste the link b/c you have to pay to see, but that doesn't mean I can't copy and paste it.....

"Why on earth does everyone think this OSU/UM game is so huge? C'mon we beat that same team last season in the bowl game. Not to mention we almost beat Texas, and could have played with USC. If we were in the Big 10 (11) we would have the same record, and should be getting ready to play in the NC game. I can list 10 games bigger that happend this season!"

Key word ALMOST, and no way in hell would you be udefeated playing in the big 10. NEB fans are so stupid and arrogant

I've hated Nebraska ever since '97.

If they think they'd beat Michigan this year, they're wrong. Dead wrong. If they were a Big Ten team they'd be staring at at least two conference losses, depending on their schedule. Wisconsin would beat 'em. Penn State might. Need I even mention what the scores would be against Michigan and Ohio State?

WOW! Make it sound like Ohio State doesn't even have a chance. Might as well not even play the game on Saturday.

It should be a tight game. If Michigan's defense can create turnovers, Michigan will win by 10. I think the polls picking OSU to win are doing so based on the fact that they have been a wire to wire #1 team, yet Michigan has a higher ranked defense. Anyone who follows sports knows this cliche, offense wins games, but DEFENSE wins championships.

LETS GO BLUE!!

but your inital post suggested that Michigan is going to score at will against OSU. Now you say it will the defense that wins the game for Michigan, not the offense.

Last time I checked, OSU had just a dominate defense as Michigan. They allow fewer points and have twice as many INTs.

For every stat you give me that claims OSU's defense is better than Michigan's, I got three that go the other way. But those aren't the numbers that really matter. Here are the ones that are keeping Buckeyes up at night: 56, 80, 6, 29, 45. Woodley, Branch, Burgess, Hall, Harris. Especially in the front 7, Michigan's personnel is far better. OSU has a bit of a secondary edge - they don't have a Leon Hall, but they're better all-around.

But to say OSU's defense is just as dominant as Michigan's? That's like saying Chad Henne is just as dangerous as Troy Smith. It's just not true.

You're biased. OSU has more depth than Michigan. Your right, Michigan's front group is better but I personally think the key will be in how Michigan handles the versatile Troy Smith. Michigan has shown time and time again that they cannot stop a running QB. I look for Smith to have a big day and also Anthony Gonzalez as Ginn will probably see a bunch of Leon Hall. For Michigan to have a shot, I think you need to have this be a Hart vs Pittman matchup, control the clock and keep Ted Ginn and Troy Smith off the field.

They're Michigan fans, of course they think they're going to win and could probably give you a million reasons why as well as a million excuses as to why the didnt win. It's the same for us here.

same for any school really. I kept saying "if only we didnt let OSU block the field goal and take it back last year...MSU would have done better last year"

Indiana and their scrambling QB Lewis managed a whopping 165 yards of offense last week. Of course Smith and Lewis are on different levels, but you can't say Michigan has shown time and time again that they can't stop a running quarterback.

BRTD is not biased. Are you kidding me? Have you watched U-M play this season? They possibly have the best D-line in U-M history. And depth? Next years U-M's line/LB's will be almost as good as this years. Your also wrong on U-M not being able to stop running QB's. If your talking about the 2004 Wolverines your right, but this is 2006. The only QB that ran on us last season was Troy Smith. Stanton the choker, Tate, Bacher, Lewis, and the Vandy QB have had NO success the last 2 seasons running on U-M.

Your absolutley right that U-M has to keep the OSU offense off the field though...
