Watching Saturdays game against Illinois was like being at the dentist. I really really hope that Tressel was consciously calling run after run inbetween the tackles for 2 yard gains.

It could be a good thing, we hadnt played a game yet where the last minute mattered...of course they gave up a touchdown but they held on.

I think both teams were looking ahead, and taking a break due to the all hype surronding "the game", and their difficult schedules.

Maybe if he was refering to Maurice Clarrett, both UM and OSU fans would have no problem with that. ;)

Clarett is different thought because he has ton a lot of things to get in trouble. Breaston has done nothing wrong off the field. He just has struggled on the field.

On Sirius Radio today they said Tom Izzo is meeting with Mariucci for the next 3 days to try to get him to coach MSU. I think it's good Izzo tries to get a football coach because he is the face of the University, but Mooch is a huge mistake in my opinion.

How about this scenario...

-OSU beats U-M

- Louisville wins out

- Florida (or maybe USC/ND/ect) jumps UL, and plays OSU in title game

- Florida beats OSU

- Meanwhile Louisville kills their oppenent in their BSC bowl game.

How bad would that screw the BSC???

Well Rugters still has to play WV.....

Yeah, don't forget that. If Rutgers beats WV, then by all means, they should be in the championship game. If WV wins....I don't know what the BCS is gonna do. I'll pulling hard for Rutgers. Not only would it be crazy to see them in the title game, but I am strongly against a playoff in any circumstance, and I know there would be no end to the bitching if Rutgers loses.

Come on people - Rutgers played the game of their life last night, but the NC game? Either OSU or UM would crush them. I'm not against it for just that reason - but I don't think it would be a great game by any means.

True. But the overwhelming prevailing opinion has been that Louisville or West Virginia should go to the title game if they were undefeated. The Big East is, after all, a BCS conference. (Not that they should be, but they are.) So if Rutgers happens to be the one to get through undefeated, it would be a travesty, not to mention insanely hypocritical, if they were denied a berth. Yes, they'd get crushed. But that's not the point. If they beat West Virginia, then by the rules, they go. In fact, Rutgers should now be the #3 team in the country, though I have a feeling they won't be. "What have you done for me lately?" is a big ranking factor, but it never wins out over "What did we think of you at the beginning of the year?"

And im sure Rutgers would probably cream Ball State! Every team has their so so games.

Im all for Rutgers playing the winner of UM/OSU. Unfortunately though, i bet theyll lose to West Virginia. Rutgers beats Louisville, Louisville beats WV, now WV will beat Rutgers. Thats just the way i think its meant to go down. As for a UM/OSU rematch...come on really, who wants to see that???? IMO whoever loses that game had their chance and BLEW it. So lets say UM wins, and OSU gets the nod for the rematch. OSU wins and theyre now 1-1...yet OSU is the national champ. Its just stupid and I for one wouldnt like the rematch one bit, regardless if its a good game the first time. Give me something different...and yes even if that means a potential blowout game.

please. do you think Alabama fans root for Auburn to win when they are not playing each other. HELL NO!!

I know a great deal of Michigan fans who root for MSU when not playing them....

Of course, the big difference is that Michigan is MSU's main rival, while MSU is third behind OSU and Notre Dame on Michigan's list....
