That was fun to watch. Thorne and Spielman said Delta State gave up 11 points a game all season, and Grand Valley torched them for seven touchdowns.

After watching that game, and reading the accounts of last week's game against North Dakota, I'd say the only team that can beat Grand Valley is Grand Valley. My brother bought me a GVSU t-shirt on the occasion of his arrival there this fall, and I'll be sporting it on Saturday for the championship. Shamelessly jumping on the Laker bandwagon :D

Someone from my high school got recruited by Michigan. What?

Linka.

I don't even recognize this guy, but I played in the band during every home game. We had one winning season, we sucked BIG TIME, so I guess I'm just really weirded out about how this guy got recruited by Michigan.

While not from my high school, Brandon Minor played high school football less than 15 minutes away from my apartment in Richmond. I'm excited about watching him play after Hart leaves (which I hope isn't this year).

U-M thinks Rogers is their biggest sleeper in their class this year. He was the fastest player at their camp in the 100 yard sprints. He'll red shirt next season so he can learn how to be a WR.

Watching the Poinsettia Bowl between TCU and NIU. Am I the only one who absolutely cannot stand listening to Lou Holtz? It's not that he's saying stupid things - in fact he's got a lot of good insight into the game. Comes from being a coaching legend.

It'sfsth jufszst that he has thisths way of pronounscfthing his S's like his tongue is twisthfe as thick as normal people. Get a lot of spit in your mouth, put your tongue loosely between your teeth, slack your jaw and say the letter S and you get an idea.

I HAAAAATTTTE LOU HOLTZ!!!!!! SOOOO BIASED TOWARDS ND!! Plus you can't understand a word he says!! I bet 10 bucks ESPN hired a bum, and all he has to do is carry a mop and clean up Holtz's slobber when the camera goes to Mark May. I didn't think it was possible to hire someone worse then Trev Alberts, but ESPN once again does something stupid!

Nice to see Central take the Motor City Bowl last night. I always look forward to the Motor City Bowl for the Detroitiness of the whole thing. And they had some really nice shots of downtown in those spots between the commercials and the game.

Either the News or the Freep, one of those two, reported that the MC Bowl would have taken Pitt or maybe Alabama instead of MTSU, but for a rule that says a 6-6 team can't be invited to a bowl ahead of a team with a winning record. Having 'Bama or Pitt would have definitely boosted the bowl's stature.

Fun Fact: CMU is the 85th team to win a bowl game since the last time Notre Dame won.

Thats great! I shouldn't laugh though because we're starting to build a winless bowl streak too :(

Michigan has played in three bowl games since their last bowl win.

Against USC when USC split the championship and a tight loss to Texas in the Rose, as well as an Alamo Bowl that required an innovative 60-man defense to stop Michigan.

I'm off to the Texas Bowl in an hour. Should be a good time, I've never been to a bowl game before. We're making a whole day out of it. We have tickets to some high fallootin' reception. Then there's the Taste of Texas event, with beer, bbq, and Reckless Kelly doing a concert. Then the game. Rutgers v. Kansas State. I'm hoping Rutgers travels well, because I'm pretty sure there's going to be plenty of K-State fans there.

Go RU!

You're right, but it's 3 bowls to many for me. Lets hope it stops in only a few more days!

Anyone watch FSU-UCLA? Talk about a let down for UCLA

Im very excited about the games today, some interesting matchups! I like Tennessee to stomp Penn St, Arkansas to beat Wisconsin fairly handily, Nebraska by a FG over Auburn, West Virginia over Georgia Tech, and Oklahoma by 3 scores over Boise St. As for the grand daddy of them all, I think USC takes it by 7 but i expect it to be a real close one.

Arkansas to beat Wisconsin fairly handily

Not gonna happen.

Wisconsin is a top six team in all polls despite everyone downplaying them because 'the Big Ten is OSU, UM, and second rate teams.

Let's use the rule of common opponents to determine this...

Wisconsin did leaps and bounds better against Michigan than Notre Dame did.

Notre Dame did better against USC than they did against Michigan.

And Notre Dame did better against USC than Arkansas did.

By the transitive rule of sports comparisons...a>b and b>c means a?c and all that....

Wisconsin will win.

As for the Rose Bowl...

USC and Michigan had one comon opponent; Notre Dame.

Michigan was FAR superior against that common opponent.

Michigan's only loss came by a field goal against the national champions.

USC lost TWICE to UNRANKED teams.
