Zetter is Better 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Why don`t we just call up the whole Grand Rapids Griffins????
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Don't worry. It's better now than later. Let the guy get some rest. He should be getting rest anyway! So he can be ready for when it really matters. I've got all the faith in the world in Oz. He will shut them Hawks and Avs down! Me, too, HC! Go, Ozzie!!! Dom is just keeping Bert and Hank company, so they can all come back together and terrify the rest of the NHL. In the meanwhile, we get to see Howard play. Icer 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 In the meanwhile, we get to see Howard play. You mean you get to watch Howard sit at the end of the bench. I highly doubt he plays in either game this weekend unless Ozzie gets shelled. They're playing the Blackhawks and Avalanche so there's not much chance of that. TheUltimateWingsFan 1 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 I sure hope this isn't the beginning of Dom's annual out-for-season injury woes. It's a good thing we have a capable goalie in Osgood.

Have a little faith. Let's not start the Hasek-bashing yet. Dom's done everything humanly possible to stay healthy and he's done well. There's no need to panic, he'll be back. I'm not gonna be concerned in the least unless Dom is still out a week from now.

Cicada 4 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 it's a bigger panic than that
russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 For now I will take it as a "thigh injury" but adducter muscle is a common "thigh injury" We'll have to wait and see what happens but I'm not worried about it until it takes longer than 2 days or Oz gets hurt again
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 They're resting Chelios for a sore groin tonight. All this stuff we're hearing about injuries is probably not coming out all at once by coincidence. My guess is they're really trying to rest everyone and take precautions. I believe this probably also means that they're not especially concerned with winning the division. I heard a discussion on XM 204 this morning and Bob McKenzie said that the Predators were privately saying that they had more or less conceded the Central to Detroit because the Wings have such a favorable schedule down the stretch. But now that Detroit is dealing with all these players being out, it's probably a good bet that the Preds can take the division.
Cicada 4 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 at the end of the day winning the division doesn't matter. the top 8 in the west are all strong and of pretty much equal ability... it doens't matter where we finish as long as he have home ice advantage, which we should get
bringback91 2 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 There all fine except Cleary, Sammy and Kopecky. If it were playoffs, Z, bert, and Dom would be playing. I bet there all back on the ice within 2 weeks except Kopecky.
Offsides 21 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 2 games is nothing. It's IN two games when they say...OH yeah..it's worse than we thought that everyone will start pushing the panic button. But as long as it's only 2 games...it's okay. Anyway, Ozzie'll be fine.
zata40 3 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 I'm not worried, it's only 2 games. plus the old man needs his rest and ozzy needs a turn
scsgoal31 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 My only issue is the Wings staff pretty much blows at reporting seriousness of injuries. Every injury this year started off as "just a precaution". Most recently, Zetterberg missing only the lone Chicago game turning into 2-3 weeks. Now it's Chelios. And we've had Schneider and Samuelsson out this year with "not a serious injury". NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 (edited) My only issue is the Wings staff pretty much blows at reporting seriousness of injuries. Every injury this year started off as "just a precaution". Most recently, Zetterberg missing only the lone Chicago game turning into 2-3 weeks. Now it's Chelios. And we've had Schneider and Samuelsson out this year with "not a serious injury". Chelios isn't hurt......he's a healthy scratch. They are resting him for the playoffs. Why would the Wings want to let the rest of the nhl on to what their injury situation is? Let other teams focus and prepare for the team as if all the Wings might play. That way, they don't completely know who to prepare for. That's standard in pro sports, especially as the playoffs near. You never want the opposition to know whats going on with your player's injuries for fear that they may attack the "problem" area. CdnWingsFanEh 2 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 (edited) Question: I am I alone in thinking we need to add the Grand Rapids Griffins band-aid to the site again??? Edit: spelling Edited March 2, 2007 by CdnWingsFanEh
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 Doesn't sound like anything too serious, but when you start talking about injuries to our 41 year old starting goaltender, it does make me a little nervous.
Grind Line 33 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 (edited) Question: I am I alone in thinking we need to add the Grand Rapids Griffins band-aid to the site again??? Nah, we're a ways from that yet. There were what, something like 10 guys on the roster at that time who had spend at least some time in GR that year? That was insane. unkempt 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 C'mon guys, you're not getting it.
