Hasek to return next year?

we need to move on already... i really dont think he was that good against the ducks... but kenny already has his jeriactric doctor sooooo... we may see a few more years of hasek

I really don't think Hasek was the problem against the Ducks. However, I do think Hasek was the biggest reason we made it to the second and third rounds.

I'm relieved to hear it, but I knew it was coming.

He's as good as its going to get without moving any parts of the team. He'll be good again this year and if he gets hurt, Howard gets time.

Holland said neither the team nor Lang has ruled out returning to Detroit despite the Czech centre’s strained relationship with coach Mike Babcock.

Lang’s concern is about his dwindling ice time, which would be under further pressure with the continued emergence of centres Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Valtteri Filppula.

Do not bring Lang back. We acknowledge how clutch your goal was against the Sharks but the time has come to spend that 3.8 on someone else.

Hopefully Lang won't want to come back. I like making Lang jokes, and the whole support Lang thing was fun in the playoffs, but really now. Lang brings very little to this team, barring his two clutch goals, he's lazy (surprise I said that?!) and the fact that we already have an assload of centers is enough for me not to want him back. Filppula can easily take his spot on the second line.

Definitely a good thing if he comes back.

Ive bashed Holland as much as anyone here, and even i dont think he's stupid enough to bring Lang back.

YES!!! Even though the writing was on the wall that Dom would be back, it's great news anyways. Now, if we can get Schneids and Bert to come back, this team will be ready to go. Goodness gracious, by all means Hollland, please get Lang on the first flight out of town. I'm sure the Rangers will be dying to sign him. Spend that Lang money on Hartnell.

Our greatest chance of going for the 2008 Stanley Cup is with Dominik Hasek in the net.

Lang, you are the epitome of awesomeness....but it's time to move on....

The Wings are going to be damn good next season.....

...Lang for Hartnell?

...definately Lang must go, but I am not sure Hartnell is what we need (want)

...of course with Grigs coming over and possibly signing Kozzie, Hartnell may be a good 3rd liner. Maybe on the line with Malts and Drapes. How much will he cost? Good news about Hasek. Giggy will demand too much. Funny how you never heard of him until 2003 when his contract was up then bam! he took them to Cup finals. Then he signed the huge (at the time) contract and fell off the earth. Fast forward to 2007, contract up, bam! Stanley Cup. I'm betting he gets huge contract and falls of the face of the earth again... Dom is the best choice of available goalers, especially for the price!!!

Great news!

Notice he also mentioned "trade possibilites" in there regarding the draft. I wonder who he has on his mind, and he plans to move.

Interesting.

My interpretation of that was that IF Hasek doesn't come back he'd want to know so he could trade for a starting goalie.

Bring Floppy back for one more year. :D

ANd for some reason that article left me with the impression we sign Schneider but not Bertuzzi.

I'm going to get ripped for this, but Hartnell is exactly what this team needs. I know we all want Drury and Smyth to come here, but in all likelyhood, there is a very slim to none chance that either are going to. The Wings need a winger to play with either Pav and/or Hank that can protect them, and still produce on the scoresheet as well. Hartnell is tough, a solid physical presence, willing to fight, and has proven to be a pretty solid goal scorer. I know we all hate him by default from his days in Nashville, and I loved when Fischer whooped on him just as much as anyone else, but Hartnell can be a very nice addition to this team. Especially if Bert doesn't come back, where does the physical play come from up front then? Signing Slava Kozlov is a great trip down memory lane, but Scott Hartnell is the guy that could really help the Red Wings win it all next season.

*knocks on wood*

I've believed since the end of season that he'd be back, he and KH have been just keeping it low key.

1) Dom wants another Cup,

And

2) Even though Dom is a law unto himself, I never felt that he would leave us in a goalie lurch-- which we would be, without him. Cap-wise, we haven't a hope of signing an equivalent talent in net AND get some of the other elements we need for another run at the Grail.

*knocks on wood again* but *dances around room happily*

I KNEW he wouldn't let us down.

Did I knock on wood yet? Just in case... *knocks on wood*

And in case the other Wings need a little mo-- DOM WANTS ANOTHER CUP.

See he gets it, alright? ;)

It doesn't really say anything about Schneider meaning Bert's gone. Schneider may mean Markov is out, that's all.

Bert's gone only if he demands too much. We'll get him back, by the way he talked.
