Eklund said it?!?!?!?! Well then it must be true!!!!!!!!!!!11 :yowza:

Shanahan is done here. Even if the Wings wanted him back, he doesn't want to come back. For some reason, he is dead set on staying in New York. And that's fine by me to be honest. We played a lot better this season without him. He's become noticably weak and lazy in his older age, and just won't fit on this team. Babcock likes hard working players, and Shanny is far from that. He isn't coming back.

We HAD our era with Shanny...He left tor nothing. If we had traded him, aquired something and then wanted him back would be a differant story...Just spend the money wisely not frugaly...

I think there's little real chance of that happening. I like Shanny, but bringing him back would be one more person taking away a roster spot from a guy like Hudler, Kopecky, or other talented youth on the team.

Plus, Shanny's already gone on record stating that if he comes back, it will most likely be with NY.

Ah...great article...I remember reading it but it still was funny. I like Jagr's quip "You know, it's not easy to be a captain." I feel for the guy, really...

We've got Bertuzzi. No need for Shanahan.

I just went to Eklund's site and I have some good news:

He's saying Nylander to Nashville. So cross that one off your list.

Let this show you how bad Eklund can be at his predictions. On June 16 he said Nylander to Nashville, then Nashville got rid of most of its team.

Nylander signed with the Caps today.
