Go to the photo member thread I posted one and if looking at my little nephew dressed up and posing like Harry Potter doesn't make you smile then nothing will. I'm that sure of the photo. Not too much into the third period, I was convinced that the Wings were not going to score another goal - you know, the old "goalie standing on his head" thing that seems to happen every other game. This better not be a switch from doing s*** in the beginning and coming out in the third to doing good in the beginning then dropping 3-1 leads in the third. kylee 727 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 the intensity of this game was playoff - like. i have to hand it to the blackhawks, they stayed right up with the Wings the entire time. and in the end one of the red wings vices since the "new nhl" comes to bite em : the shootout. i almost got everything i wanted in this game.. almost- no win. but all in all, this is good to see, i want chicago to be better this year. positive side: drake, loving you more and more. this is what the wings need. a true grinder. i dont care if he wins or loses fights, knowing that he's willing to drop the gloves, play physical, that is definitely going to be (and already is) helpful playoff time. I know you're not criticizing him. He plays even strength, power play, 5 on 3, short handed, overtime, undertime, anytime. In a game when he played under the radar he had three points. Wasn't able to watch the game, but from what I heard all night the ability to gather some semblance of defense and protect or increase a lead did not register with the team from Detroit. Two stars of the NHL miss their shots, There's tons of reasons for a lose, not the refs. Do I think it was a QW sure, but what do you expect from old guys that wished they could have played in the NHL. But hey I'll list the reasons and everyone can just pick by number and it will save typing 1 Refs 2 Goalie sucks 3. Lang is still lazy and got a lucky goal 4 No one else stepped up other then the top lines. 5 We had an inj. 6 I can't believe we lost to the worst team in the NHL (this was last year, this is this year) 7 Some how some way it was Betmans fault Face it, we got out played in the third Our guys looked tired, sat back and Chicago scored. Yeah it sucks that we had a goal taken away, but I guess it's better for it to happen now in the second game of the season than in April.
