55fan 5,133 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 I have a feeling that Octopus helmet will be seeing a lot of Wings games next year. Trade an H for an H: Hasek for Howard. Hasek said he was retiring right? I thought I heard someone say this is his last year-or was it wishful thinking on that persons part? My opinion: Hasek will retire if we win the Stanley this year. Next year, Oz and Howard. I'm comfortable with that. If Hasek does retire, it will be well-earned. If he comes back, I for one will welcome him back. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 Pierre McGuire lost whatever credibility he had left when he said that the Wings had found their starter in Howard. What a complete moron. With that being said, Howard has played incredibly. This is a 2-0 or 3-0 game if it isn't for him. Still, the Wings are playing well. They just need a break or a bounce or a deflection someplace, and hopefully two very big points will be coming our way. I had to see where you were from to see what part of I-75 you were referring to. Yeah that would be aboput right. Midland isn't far from me-Bay City so I know how bad that part is. Honestly...(and this isnt a goalie war/bashing comment)...Hasek SHOULDNT come back next year, for the sake of the Wings future. Howard really needs to be eased into the NHL, and he cant do that if weve got Osgood and Hasek up here. Plus you never know how much longer Osgood is going to be playing like a capable starter, and we need to have a solid goaltender going tandem with Howard for at least 2 years.. Milbury picked all Euro's and then Pierre was like "I'm going with a North American" then he talked about how great Scott was, and Mike was all "Ohh I am sorry.
