Mike Babcock

Since Sens just fired their coach... do you think Babcock would ever be in jeopardy? Say wings lose 2 more games in a row or 5 imore in a row? Granted there are a ton of injuries and Wings mostly outshooting their opponents and have had some of the worst luck with posts and bad calls... Nonetheless at what point does Holland starts freaking out? I am not in a panic mode yet, but what would qualify a panic mode and a drastic move?

Some organizations are quicker to replace their coaches than others, i don't think babcock is any any immediate danger of being fired, think how long we put up with dave lewis and he sucked, babcock is one of the best.

Babcock won't be going anytime soon. He was just named as the Western Conference All-Star coach, Kenny likes him, the players like him, Detroit likes him and he's not going anywhere soon.

It would take the wings missing the playoffs a couple of years in a row, multiple coaching errors, and the management getting angry to even consider "firing" him.

Babs is safe...

knowing how Dave Lewis survived so much times under Holland...

I really can't see Babcock being replaced other than when he's

doing something really miserable. which isn't likely to happen IMHO

Simply no. Ottawa was having issues in the lockerroom, having clear chemestry issues both on and off the ice, and simply have been showing A LOT of inconsistancy with little to no improvement showing. Now, I am not implying that it was Paddock's fault, but the Red Wings are not nearly as bad as teh Sens have been. They have their entire team with them, when, not only are the wings missing all of their top 4 d-men, their top secondary scorer, and their star goal tender, but they are missing the key players that start up plays in Mike Babcock's playing system, the defencemen. And, even through this, Babs has his team playing hard, showing improvement, even with all these young players. To top that, once our players come back, wings will be right back to old winning ways headed into playoffs... Babs will stay... as he is arguably the best coach in the NHL and has/is doing a great job with the wings...

If this team finishes 1st and then loses in the 1st round of the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if the rumors start flying around about his firing. I still don't think it would happen, though.

Yea I don't think so either, Scottie has lost in the first round before while Wings finishing 1st in the season. Although as much as I like Babcock he isn't Bowman.... I don't think anyone is lol

I think at this point, the only sensible thing is for the team to fold.

I say we fire everyone but Lids and Z then rebuild from there.

well stats go in Datsyuk's favor over Zets  so we should say Lids and Dats maybe:) should have traded Zetta to get Richards or Hossa then everyone would be happy with holland

I think that'd be Holland's job on the line then.

Babcock is not to blame for our losses; injuries to 2/3rds of our starters is.
