Marriage is a sacred bond, and the sad thing is that some people see cheating on your spouse as no big deal. Especially with guys I've looked up to for years, i.e. Yzerman, Shanahan, McCarty, Draper, Maltby, Chelios, Osgood, etc. (I'm not saying there doing stuff, just using them as examples) I'm not naive, so I know stuff goes on while teams are on the road, but I don't really want to hear about it. Actually in McCarty's case, it's different hearing about stuff after it happened and find out the guy made changes, that's cool to hear. Avery isn't married or anything, so he's not obligated to stick around with only one woman. Besides, atheletes do this sort of stuff all the time, so it's nothing new. Damn! If a player has a wife and children at home who are waiting for him to return and giving him their support and he is off seeing other women, what does that say about him as a person? I could not cheer for a player like that. Avery isn't married, and he doesn't have kids. It's wrong that married guys do it, but if their single, then I don't see what the big deal is. Me and a few guys were talking about a similar topic last night, b/c we saw that clip of OV kissing his girl at the Wizards game. We established (using our classic stereotypes of star players) that Crosby probably just sits in his room on road trips, while OV probably goes out to the bar in the big cities. We also used comparisons of the players we have seen come through London, and established that a player like "little sammy gagner" will probably chill in his room, but you can find Robbie Schremp at the bar almost every off night (we saw schrempy in London on new years AND the night after...talk about a "barstar") I love the behind the scenes stuff in all sports, its so interesting. Hate to play grammar police and by no means is my grammar always 100% correct, but this is just a pet peeve of mine... we are all suppose to learn this in the 2nd or 3rd grade, it's the schools responsibility to teach the American people the basics, even if you dropped out of school you should still understand the difference of "your" and "you're".
