Here is the link.... Why waste time worrying about what other sports "experts" or "journalists" think about the Red Wings? If they don't want to include current playoff performers that have been doing well such as Zetterberg or Franzen in there, that's fine. Doesn't change the fact they they've been main cogs contributing, regardless of what they think or don't think. Don't even worry about them.

puckbags 863 Report post Posted May 4, 2008 Considering all but 4 ( correct me if i'm wrong) of the people on the list are golfing I wouldn't take offence to the fact that there are no Wing's on the list!!
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted May 4, 2008 I think it's more of a list of players that have a gritty side as well as a scoring touch. Other players not on the list besides Wings: Malkin, Crosby, Kane, Heatley, Spezza, Alfredsson, etc. These guys are not physical players but they score a LOT so the list must be geared toward gritty scorers. Guest EZBAKETHAGANGSTA Report post Posted May 4, 2008 Based on regular season play Kronwall shoudlve at least been in the second paring at hes our 3rd dmen on the team and plays a very similar if slightly worse style than phanuef. Both get the big hits and our offensivly sound.

betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted May 4, 2008 McGuire's fourth-liners really are fourth-liners, so it's not like the list is an all-star type thing. Still, Holmstrom's omission from the list is puzzling, given the apparent theme of the list.

I noticed every time he's on shift I yell "Getcherassinfrontofthenet!!!!!!!!"
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted May 4, 2008 Gritty players who hit hard frequently and also have solid offensive abilities: This Year during the regular season - Offense: If Cleary wasn't hurt, he could have made this list Defense: Kronwall (Should have been on this list, maybe he doesn't hit enough during the season like he does during the playoffs) Next Year's probables on this list Offense: Franzen (If he plays hits more), Cleary, Holmstrom (If he throws his weight around) Defense: Kronwall, Stuart (If he stays) It's not hard to see why there were no Red Wings on this list. Holmstrom is as tough as they come, but he doesn't hit like he has done in this playoffs at times. Cleary can make this list easily if he stays healthy. Franzen doesn't use his size as a physical force towards other players. Kronwall should have made this list. Hasek should have also, which goalie checked more players haha! GO WINGS!!!!
